At lower zoom-factors the colum- and row-headers description font size does not
shrink acordingly, producing a very ugly view. Sie the attached sreen-shot.

I am testing the ooo-dev310m7 and the „File → Send → Document as E-mail Option"
still does not
work properly even when no spaces or other strange characters are in the
file-name. When executed,
now the Main-Window of Mail comes up but not the required „New E-mail“ Window
of Apple Mail. This
might seem a progress compared to older versions in september last year when
nothing happened at
all. But it is still useless to sending an e-mail with the attached
document-file, because you still have
to resort to choose the new e-mail-Option manually and attach the file manually
as well.

In a nutshell: It seems that the File-Send-Option executes the wrong command

To be more specific: The crashes occur when you try to load a spreadsheet which
contains a table with
notes. If you create a new spreadsheet, put a note in and save it, nothing
strange happens until you try to
load this spreadsheet again.

Bug in the direct-help system

When you select the direct-help option and than pass the pointer over the
different fields in the status
bar at the bottom of the window, a little pop-up window with a help text pops
up. But in the first two
fields (pages and stile sheet) this little pop-up is unreadable, because its
get hidden outside the window.
This happens only if you position the pointer outside the text in the two
fields.

This is not a big deal, but rather annoying and occurs in the windows-version
too.

Strange behavior of the help-item in the main menu-bar

When you open OpenOffice after a cold start and click on any menu-item in the
main-menu-bar every
menu-item opens almost immediately, with the exception of the help-menu-item.
This takes about 3
seconds, which leaves you the impression that something is wrong. At least
appears annoying

After a second opening of OpenOffice (warm-start) the roll-down of the
help-menu is quite quick, but
still slower then the other roll-down-menu-windows.

Wenn die Zeichenlaufweite in einem Text auf "schmal" eingestellt wird (z.B.
Über Format ->Zeichen -
>Position), ergibt sich ein Überlauf über den rechten Rand des Absatzes hinaus.
>Dies geschieht bei den
meisten Schriftarten (mit Ausnahme Arial, Times, Tahoma, soweit ich
festgestellt habe.

I tried to use OpenOffice (300m6 build 9352) to print e-mails from Apple
“Mail” as a work-around of
the insufficient (left) page margin-problem in Mail. So I clicked on an e-mail
in “Mail”, than used the
“copy”-command of “Mail” and later tried to insert it with „paste“ or
„shift-apple-V“ in an OpenOffice
text-document. Surprisingly this didn't work and without any error-message
OpenOffice simply
refused to insert the clipboard content into its document.

As an alternative I tried to paste it into Textedit and succeeded. Later I
selected the pasted in text in
Textedit, copied it and now the „paste“ into OpenOffice worked without any
problem.

Using Textedit as a “bridge” is quite a troublesome procedure, isn't it? and I
guess that there might be
a more professional way of getting the e-mail-printouts with the required wider
page margins. Maybe
you have an idea.

Nevertheless, it is strange, that OpenOffice refuses to accept “paste” from the
clipboard, or is it just a
handling error?

In case you do not have any document opened, there is only the file-menu
available.

Very often in this situation you need to re-open a recently opened document.
But there is no direct
option for it. It would be very convenient to have in this menu-place the
option “Datei > Zuletzt
benutzte Dokumente; (Files > recently opened documents - or something like
this).

Actually to get there, you first have to open an empty, new document (what you
don't need and what
you don't wont), before you get to this option.

This is cumbersome and not very professional.

Regards

 Frieder

If you try to open a document (writer or calc - others I did not check) with
the menu-option "Datei >
Zuletzt benutzte Dokumente (Files >recently opened documents - or something
like this) and the file isn't
in its place anymore, you get an error-pop-up-message. If you click on the
OK-button, the message
disappears shortly and pops up again. It disappears definitely only until the
second clicking on the OK-
button.

This is not necessary, isn't it?

Exporting a larger document to pdf with >300m31, Build 9349< become extremely
slow or even paralyzed the program (program did not respond anymore) in
comparison to rc1 >300m5 Build 9350.
NeoOffice 2.24 in comparison is very fast doing the same job.

Loading a lager document is extremely slow in >300m31, Build 9349<, in n
comparison to rc1 >300m5
Build 9350.

The closing, minimizing... buttons of the little floating toolbar windows are
still in the old fashion of x11
and not in the apple aqua-stile. In NeoOffice 2.24 this is already
resolved(??!!)

I made a little screenshot, but could not insert it in this message.
