@tommy27:
It's much more likely 3.3, because as far as I know 3.x.1 are always just bugfix
releases.

I often have to convert masses of my ODF files for other people, who can't read
the ODF format, into PDFs.

This is very time-consuming at the time, so wouldn't it be a good idea to make
it possible to chose the PDF as export format in the document converter?

Or aren't such mass-conversions allowed by Adobe?

Best
Hannes

I just saw, that I can detach the table from the top, when I press Return on the
first position in the first cell of the table, too.

Not very obvious too, but effective. ;)

Hmmm... OK, I see.

But if you don't know that? And I'm sure many people won't know that - I'm sure
I'm above the avarage Office user... wouldn't it make sense to remove the page
break with Backspace or Delete too? I mean - is there any advantage by removing
it not in this case?

And at least the not completely correct working Undo is a problem. There are
some more cases, where Undo does not work completely correct.

Concerning the crashes:
How I said - I could not reproduce them - but I just had 2 different documents
opened - just with these "table attempts". It must have to do with that. But
they didn't occour immediately - I had to work a while with the documents.

I couldn't send a crash report - I don't know why, but the dialog didn't appear.
I don't know why, but it doesn't appear after every crash.

PS: I'm using OxygenOffice Professional 2.0.4!

Same problem like
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=55010

2 documents:
OLE1.odt has no headline, OLE2.odt has one (I guess it does not have anything to
do with the headlines, but so I can reproduce the problem - probably it's like
in the other issue said the anchor).

When you try to move the pictures slightly by pressing additionally Alt, while
moving the pictures with the arrow keys, the picture in the second document
always moves down, no matter which key is pressed.

There is a cell with a formatted text inside - and the cell isn't big enough to
show the whole text in one row.

When you now select the cell and copy the content (not the whole cell!) to the
clipboard, and paste the text in a text document, you'll see, that the part of
the text, which isn't in the first row, is much smaller (e.g. 6.5 pt instead of
12).

Try attached document!

To illustrate my problem:
- Start a new text document
- Write some words
- Press 2 times Return
- Insert a table
- Press arrow up to get back to the line between the text and the table again
- Insert a page break with Ctrl+Return
- Now you can easily remove the pagebreak with Backspace (do that!)
- Insert the page break again
- Now press Del instead Backspace, so the line between the table and the new
page is deleted
- Now try to delete the page break

When you are in the table and press Backspace, you jump to the text written
before and when you are at the end of the text and press Del you get inside the
table again.

The bring the table on the first page again you have to delete everything on the
first page. Then you have to position the cursor on the first page and press Del
(it doesn't work with Backspace inside the first table cell).

The problem: the table now stucks on the top of the (first) page again. So if
the table is on the top of e.g. page 10, you will have to delete the whole
content on page 9 to bring the table on the page before, but then the table
stucks there on the top and so on.

Drag & Drop doesn't work too: Make some paragraphs with Return under the text
written on the first page, select the whole table and try to drag it on one of
the new paragraphs on the page before - you will have a additional page with the
table stucking on the top of the page again, and the original table is still
existing - with no contents.

It isn't even possible to copy the table, delete the original and paste it
somewhere in the middle of a page. The table will be insertet on a new page -
like before - again.

Undo doesn't work correctly too. Try in my attached document to drag the table
to the page before. A new page will be inserted. Chose Undo. The table will be
deleted, but the page remains and the page before has one paragraph less
(because the inserted page break isn't deleted). Another Undo isn't possible.

AND: I also had some crashes of OOo (2.0.4) in combination with that!
I think it happened ...
- when I tried to save the document or it was automatically saved
- when I tried to close the document and the save-dialog appeared
- and immediately again when I recovered the documents after the previous crash.

But unfortunately I can't reproduce the crashes.

I hope you can understand and reproduce everything, if not, please ask!
I can't imagine, that nobody before noticed that, but I could not find anything
describing exactly that problem.

In the attached Document, there is following problem:

If you delete the enumeration before the headline "Number 2", the whole table on
the previous page is deleted too. Probably this is, because there is no
paragraph after the table on the previous page.

OT:
In this document also accours another, already reported problem:
If you make new headlines, there is a 2nd enumeration beginning with 1 again -
independently from the existing one. :(

It would be very nice, if there would be at least an option, to embed linked
images, like MS Word does.

The problem is, that I often copy contents of web sites into documents. But the
images are only linked (and so not saved with the document) and if you want to
read the document offline or the source address of the images changes, the
images are also not available in the document any more.

Hi, I don't exactly know if this really is a bug or if I cause(d) the mistake by
myself!

The problem is following (I hope I can explain it so, that you understand me):
Since I last opened my document, OOo ignores the actual existing numeration and
begins a second, independent from the already existing. I can't insert any
headlines any more to the existing document, because they start again at 1 and
further headlines refer only to these new inserted, wherever in the document.

To better understand my problem try out following in the attached document:
Go to capitle 2.1.2 and press return between the two 'm's.
Do the same with the following headlines!

I really can't remember, that I changed something, since the last time this
worked how it should, and I think I had this problem already a time ago, after
what I had to rewrite the whole document to solve this problem.

But maybe it is really my own fault, if so, please tell me what to do.

Big thx,
Hannes

OOo Writer doesn't jump to the correct position in the document, when the
destination (and so the entry in the TOC) of the link starts with an ".". (It
jumps to the position of the link itself.)

For example in the attached document this would be the entry
"... und die Gitarre war noch warm".

I tested that also with an other document and i had the same problem.

This behaviour could be a defect, yes.
But what I meant is the possibility to link every entry in the TOC with one
click in sum.

It would be very practically if it would be possible to link the elements of an
table of contents automatically. There could be an option at the
"Insert->Tables->Tables"-menu. (Sorry, if the expressions are wrong, but I'm
using the german version of OOo.)

Afaik, in a document like the attached one you have to insert a hyperlink to a
target to jump to every line of the TOC. After an update of it, all the links
are lost and can't even be restored by "Undo". So this isn't a very comfortable
solution.

Please try this out with the added document (e.g. updating the TOC).

And sorry, if such an option already exists.

Sincerely
Hannes

Could it be, that this issue number is false? (There does not seem to be an
issue numbered 127067)

I have got a document and in this document there is a part with two columns.
In each column is a table. When you try to copy and paste (for example in a new
document) or drag and drop this content on another place OOo crashes.

In the second case (drag & drop) OOo doesn't even restart itself, in the first
it does.
