fs-bedsee: sorry, took a while to come back. See
http://dba.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=547 for a
Windows version. Again, this is no official patch, but lets you try the fix in
a
2.1 installation.

I've verified that the patch solves my problem.
Thanks a lot!

My text should read NATIONAL CHARACTER VARYING not NATIONAL VARIABLE
CHARACTER, sorry.

It was possible to create tables in Openoffice 2.0 (with the same version of
Mimer). I.e. Upgrading from 2.0 to 2.1, without any other changes breaks the
functionality.

I'm using Base in OOo 2.1 on XP professional with an ODBC connection
to a Mimer (9.2.5B) database.

I can edit existing tables, but I cannot create new tables. I get an
error dialog.
+ Error while saving table design
+ [Mimer][ODBC Mimer Driver][Mimer SQL]Syntax error, '(' ')' assumed missing

This is followed by ~50 small squares interspersed with a few question marks.
(I'll attach i picture).

Turning on the logging functionality of the RDBMS I found that all column types
were replaced by NATIONAL VARIABLE CHARACTER without any size arguments (hence
the missing parameters).

I've tested creating tables both with Use Wizard to Create Table and Create
Table in Design View...

This seems to be very fundamental.

I forgot to mention the problem with the resulting dialog.
Is there a way to get something better than all those squares? Is it the wrong
character set that is used somehow? What can be done about it?

[tools-issues] [Issue 51560] Build with cygwin 1.5.18 fails in instsetoo_native

--- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 5 14:24:30 -0800

I've changed to use the 24.12.2005 snapshot. It does not work better.

By running the command below, in a separate bash window, while running dmake I
can build several projects:
$ while true; do ls /proc/*/fd; sleep 2; done

I've had problems coming this far.
cygwin (?) does not seem stable. The configure command coredumps now and then,
but can work just by rerunning the same command line a few times. I get the
impression that the bash window with the loop can disturb the tcsh window.

This is the command line I use currently:

./configure --with-cl-home=/cygdrive/c/Program/Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003/Vc7 --with-jdk-home=/cygdrive/c/Program/Java/jdk1.5.0_03
--with-use-shell=tcsh --with-midl-path=/cygdrive/c/Program/Microsoft Platform
SDK/Bin --with-csc-path=/cygdrive/c/WINDOWS/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v1.1.4322
--with-frame-home=/cygdrive/c/Program/Microsoft.NET/SDK/v1.1
--with-ant-home=/cygdrive/c/Program/apache-ant-1.6.5
--with-extra-dotnet-files=/cygdrive/c/Program/Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit
2003/include --with-extra-dotnet-files=/cygdrive/c/Program/Microsoft Visual
C++ Toolkit 2003/lib --enable-cl-standard

The first --with-extra-dotnet-files is overridden by the second, therefore I
patch winenv.set by:
1. Adding as second last to ILIB: c:\\Program\\MICROS~3\\include;
2. Appending to CC and CXX -I/cygdrive/c/Program/MICROS~3/include

I did 2, to make guw.pl find yvals.h. I have very different versions of yvals.h
and don't know whick one to use (Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 or
Microsoft Platform SDK).

I've finally reached the compilation of autodoc/source/display/html in
'build_instsetoo_native'. And there I get compilation errors (see end of
attached dmake-log). I think I've mixed to many h-files and libraries.

I'll attach the cygcheck -svr output below.

I'll switch back to the latest snapshot later.

As you didn't post any output after the configure call I would assume that
something at the beginning fails. Have a look at config.log.

I didn't even get a new config.log.

$ man bash
given as the first command after tha failing configure, seemed to hang. It took
a long time to start a new shell, 100% CPU load.
ctrl-c gave this:
$ man bash
8 [unknown (0xC58)] sh 2608 child_copy: stack write copy failed,
0x22D950..0x23, done 0, windows pid 2283652, Win32 error 5
sh: fork: No error
Error executing formatting or display command.
System command (cd /usr/share/man  (echo .ll 13.5i; echo .nr LL 13.5i;
echo .pl 1100i; /usr/bin/cat '/usr/share/man/man1/bash.1'; echo .\\\
; echo .pl \n(nlu+10) | /usr/bin/tbl | /usr/bin/nroff -c -mandoc 2/dev/null
| /usr/bin/less -isrR) exited with status 32768.
No manual entry for bash

(later man bash worked properly)
I've seen child_copy: stack write copy failed many times, is it due to
ctrl-c?

Looked a little more at the load.
It is explorer.exe that consumes a lot of cpu after a failing configure (the
prompt is displayed in the bash window) and during a hanging man bash.

It takes a minute or two for the load to get normal again.

Doing as told:
In order to be able to use this public key, you should either send it via the
OpenOffice.org IssueZilla bug-reporting system, if you know how to do this,
logging in with your OpenOffice.org website login name and password (not the
passphrase you have used to generate the public key), creating an issue which
you can call My Public Key or something similar, and then attaching the public
key to the issue.

Why is the numbered cell (A2) empty? There are no hanging indents as in Issue
55074. We have thousands of documents using the same templates. Is there a
simple workaround to use?

I've tried again. The Swedish page exists now, but is there a Swedish version?
I cannot find any OOo_2.0.0_Win32Intel_install_sv.exe, only
OOo_2.0.0_Win32Intel_install.exe.

Swedish is not on the list at http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html

Do You mean that I should look at http://sv.openoffice.org/ ? This page just
says This project is under construction. It will be ready shortly. Please be
patient.

I don't know for how long it has been under construction. If this is the page to
find, why am I not directed there, when I select Swedish at
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0/index.html and then select Continue to
Download?
I just noticed that I get redirected from
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0/sv.html to
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0/index-nojs.html when doing this. If I am
quick enough to select a Site before the redirection occurs, I can get to the
rc3-files.

How shall I click?

I think Kontrollera ord med stora bokstäver has an unprofessional
cling to it. It is almost a childs language. Kontrollera ord med
VERSALER is better swedish, and it also gives a visual clue to the
meaning.

Note, both Kontrollera ord med stora bokstäver and Kontrollera ord med

I opened an odt file with Write and then closed Write. After this is it
impossible to safely remove my USB memory. I need to stop the Quick Start/Launch
application as well (Snabbstart OpenOffice 2.0, in swedish) to be able to safely
remove my USB memory.

I'm sorry if I've choosen the wrong Component/Subcomponent. I couldn't find the
quick start.
