So I found out, there are two topics. #1 You are the first one, who wishes a translation for the about-box. There are no plans to localize that. #2 The english text you see, are messages of the Windows NSIS-Installer. I think, that's OK. I don't develope on Windows, so I can not say, if it is possible to translate it. I will look for an answer. The text of the LGPL is always given in English. Translations are not validate; this is a fact by law. All translations are inofficial. You can read it on http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/lesser.de.html. My first tries to get the archive took more time as usually, but I think, that is a network problem existing since a few days for my computer/provider. It is not yours. [l10n-issues] [Issue 49029] de Readme: Translate OOo 2.0 readme
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=49029 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 18 02:04:23 -0700 2005 --- No, I did not correct anything manuelly. For the first translation I used 'Kate', an editor for programming (Linux/KDE-Desktop). I use it for scripts or quick HTML-hacks. This Editor didn't not parse the po-file. Than I installed KBabel, which was shipped with KDE too. Using KBabel I saw this messages and could not guess them. I asked on a mailinglist for programming on suse-linux and get the answer, that this messages are not errors but normal messages of gnu-gettext. It is necessary to correct them in the sources. I'm not programmer enough to find out, where the errors cause. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Since May 6 the lists seem to be not archived. I think, that is a aftereffect from crashdown the days before. Do you work on it? Is it necessary to open a new issue on this topic?
