Do you mean with "cell notes" the annotations? If so, is there any solution for this (adjusting the setinngs.xml) or just not using so many annotations? I tested few documents of this kind with Gnumeric under linux. Gnumeric open and save the same document much faster. Hope this will be put to a to do list. I do not know if it is the same reason but I attached the file test-document.ods. Would be glad if somebody can give me a hint to improve performance.
