It is a bug. When it gets an arrow left, why does it nevertheless insert the
character (at a wrong position)? This must not be the case (this is the bug).

Hi,

If the NumLock is off, entering special characters using Alt+0nnn (e.g. Alt-134
for the cross, Alt-0154 for s with haczek), the special character is inserted at
a wrong place.
I.e. if you have a text abcd and the cursor is positioned after the d, as soon
as the "4" is hit while entering Alt-0154 (Alt-key still pressed) the cursos
moves one position to the left an the special character is inserted between the
c and d. Similarly, if you want to insert a special character containing the "6"
in its value (e.g. Alt-0156), the cursor moves to the right.
If the text is within a table, then in addition the width of the column(s) and
the table are changed.

This does not occur when NumLock is on.
Tested on WindowsXP and Windows Vista, German version of OpenOffice 3.1 (also RC
of 3.1.1), external keyboard of a desktop PC and integrated keyboard of a
notebook.

It could maybe accepted that in case numlock is off the input is ignored. But
insertion at a wrong position and maybe additionally changing the table layout
is unacceptable.

Regards
Helmut

Hi,

If I open an image in paint.net (downloadable for free from
http://www.getpaint.net) and copy all or part of the image to the clipboard, I
cannot paste it into OpenOffice. This is true at least for Writer, and Impress.

Note:
In this case, the option "Insert" in the edit dropdown menu is not available
(greyed).
This works without problem in Microsoft Office.

I also did an uninstall of the previous version twice (the installation process
does it itself, anyway), but the problem is still there. I did not remove the
user settings. Does this make the difference ?

After installation the directory OOo-dev\Basis 3.0\share\basic\Launcher is
empty. This leads to error messages about dialog.xlb and xcript.xlb during start
of OOO.

The rendering/display of this kind of Word 2007 documents is wrong. It is ok for
Word 2003 document type. The attachments are the same document saved by Word
2007, once in Word 2003 format (.doc) and once in Word 2007 format (.docx). Look
at the position of the small squares that should be on the right side but are
shown centralized in all cases but the first.
