Snap point/line are just guides like rulers so they don't actually change the
final print or display of the graphic. That's probably why OpenOffice doesn't
prompt to save the file if a snap line is added and no changes are made to the
drawing itself.

I would not have expected a prompt to save the file if there were no changes
made to the drawing itself. I was surprised though when I tried this on other
drawing or photo editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop and got a prompt to
save on exit.

[graphics-issues] [Issue 41837] powerpoint export creates bad sized textbox

Behaviour reproduced under Windows 98, with OOo1.1.4.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
1. Create a new empty OO presentation, choosing a blank slide for the layout
2. Draw an autoshape by selecting one from the main toolbar. Does not matter if
it's a rectangle or an ellipse, filled or not filled.
3. Select text icon from main toolbar, and type some text. By default the text
should be centered within the textbox
4. Then do a Save as and choose the Microsoft powerpoint format (ppt)
5. Open the file using MS powerpoint and edit the text. The height of the
textbox will adjust to the text height as svenh described.

I have noticed that in the Text option (right-click) of the textbox in Open
Office, options Fit width to text and Fit height to text are disabled with
Fit height to text selected by default. These cannot be changed since they are
disabled which might be the result of the option Resize autoshape to fit text
to be selected in powerpoint.

If before step 4, the spaces to borders are set to say 5 cm in the Text option.
When I edit the text in step 5, the shape size re-adjusts so the internal margin
of the textbox is set to 5 cm around the text.

Changing the spacing to borders in open office doesn't re-adjust the size of
the textbox.

I think the defect raised here is the persistent vertical flipping of the
graphic even on 'right' (odd) pages where they were not specified. This
behaviour is unexpected.

Just pressing Ctrl-Enter to create a second page and dragging the graphic to the
second page (a left page) does display the graphic correctly; flipped vertically
and horizontally resulting in a 180 rotation.

[sc-issues] [Issue 40910] status selected remains falsy past cut/paste

I agree with Martin. It is counterintuitive that after you press enter that the
cell remains highlighted. Pressing enter means you finished editing so there's
no need for that cell to stay highlighted.

I find it poor usability when quickly entering data and having to switch to the
arrow keys or use the mouse to move to the next cell.

Following the same steps, excel moves to the next cell on Enter.

[sw-issues] [Issue 41593] Indent/tab formatting incorrect after file open

The same behaviour was reproduced on OOo 1.1.4. under Windows 98.

To fhlt: By Stylist I'm assuming you mean the Paragraph... option under the
Format menu because I don't get any tabs like indents spacing under the
Stylist feature. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think the defect is in the indent itself. I will attach a screenshot of
the file I created, formatting a paragraph following the steps described
(without the tab).

From the file testcase.sxw, by pressing enter after line 1, a new paragraph
is
being created therefore line 2 is in fact the FIRST line of another paragraph.
The indent Before Text applies only to the other lines of a paragraph
(continuous text overflowing on multiple lines with no Carriage return in
between). That's probably why the indent is not being saved.

I have also tried out several cases with tab and indent and they do behave as
expected. I will attach the sxw tab

The strange behaviour as previously pointed out, is when you access the Tabs
tab and line 2 becomes indented, when line 2 is in fact the first line of a new
paragraph.
