[framework-issues] [Issue 104514] Save All is enabled after editing
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=104514 --- Additional comments from hvia...@openoffice.org Fri Aug 28 13:15:04 + 2009 --- It has mislead me, I explain: I am reworking an older document set consisting of 6 master documents and over 500 docs. Doing updates and saving all from .sdw into .dot docs. On a few occasions I saw this "Save All" appearing and (having 4 desktops open on my Mnadriva 2009.1), I started chasing around all over to find where I had forgotten to save/close any doc. Then I noticed the behavior of OO which I reported. I have been working with Starwriter and OO for some time now and never noticed before. However I quite agree this is a low priority problem, and I sincerely hope you would ever reach a point were this would the most important problem you have to tackle. But from my professional experience I know. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. There is still ONLY ONE document open and "Save All" is misleading for the user and has no real reason to be there. If there are other documents open, then of course "Save All" is relevant, but my description explicitely rules this out. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Now do a simple editing operation, just adding a "space" character is enough. Now go back to the "File" menu, and notice that the menu entry "Save All" is also enabled. I don't see any reason for that menu entry being enabled. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I can open all these fields and make proper use of them, so all seems OK. But when I save the document back to MS-Word97/2000 format, the input fields are OK, but none of the data selected in the drop-down fields are saved. In one of the four (the third one in the doc, labeled Dropdown4), the selectable values even have disappeared, in the other three I still can see the selectable values. I have the document available, where can I upload it - only when reviewing the issue? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 87148] Table of Contents to be co nverted to list of links

But when such document is converted to html, the TOC is converted to simple text. This is not so good since 1. the page numbers do net have a real meaning anymore 2. converting the TOC to a list of links poiting to the headers in the document would really improve the navigation in the resulting document. And OO is perfectly aware that a TOC is not just a text list, but is generated by looking up the structure of the document. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I make a presentation on a Windows machine consisting of 392 pages where the first 391 contain each a picture (photograph) plus a small text. All picture files are located in the same directory, but I choose to take the pictures into the presentation file. When i open this same presentation file on a Linux platform (Mandriva 2007.0) the first 150 pages are OK, then on a few pages the picture does not show - I get just a black rectangle. Then I have again a few correct pages, then about 30 without picture, then again good pages etc...This happens consistently between "design view" and "presentation". Closing without saving and reopening in Linux gives exactly the same problem on the same pages. If on the Linux platform I do not save the .odp file, then everything is still fine when opening on Windows. As said above, I did have the similar problem with 1.5.X , but then I edited such presentation on Linux, and tried to run it on a Windows machine - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 50162] soffice crash on startup - Xlib
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=50162 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Apr 13 04:24:10 -0700 2006 --- I have the same problem with OO2.0 on MandrivaLE2005. It did not appear first after installation. If I remember well, it manifested itself after a crash provoked by trying to open an MS-Works file. Since then the crash happens consistently the first time I start OO after the PC has been restarted. I then kill all soffice processes (usually two of these) and after that I have no problems anymore. While searching for info, I noticed that such behavior has already been reported in issue 3750, but not a real solution?? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
