This probably is root of the problem. I exported from 3.2.1 without bold, the result is still the same. By the way, the font reflected in my OOo is MS Hei. If I remember correctly, 方正中等线简体 was installed in my previous system and I do have a font replacement in my current 3.2.1 system, replacing it with a MS font, namely 微软简中圆 in the system. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. It would greatly improve productivity if the dialogs provide a button with a drop down list (It looks like the font colour button which comes with an arrow icon, but behaves like the drop down list on the arrow icon of the Toolbar) that allows users to go straight to a few user defined folders. For example, when the button or arrow icon is click, it lists first the few user defined folders, a separator, followed by an edit... entry, which brings the user to a dialog to define his or her favorite folders. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Also, my suggestion is we should go ahead and implement a split screen in a single document first. Then we move on from there to implement the multiple tab. If no one write the first line of code, it can never be done. Just get it moving. Please and thank you. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. After having 149 votes and since v. 1.0, there is still not a milestone set! It is a shame to the developers and a big let down to all the supporters of OOo. Please, developers, set the milestone as 3.1 and get it done yesterday. Don't tell us it is difficult to do because I was using this feature in Perfectwork 2.1, by Novell in the Windows 3.11 platform. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=37577 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jan 2 19:52:44 -0800 2007 --- With word completion enabled and collect words selected, Writer collects any 'word' that is mixed with number. For example, it will collect 'slkd12dfj' 'good2dk'. It may be a result of not checking the words with numbers set in Options-Language Settings-Writing Aids, but I think the two features should be separated in the sense that words collected should not simply base on the green light given by the Writing Aids setting. The word completion should have the option of allowing user to include custom 'words' into the auto-completion list but should not collect mis-spelt words automatically. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 68130] Radio button in character dialog when opened via FindReplace needs a default in order to use the keyboard for mac ro recording
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=68130 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Oct 30 00:04:17 -0800 2006 --- I notice a more serious flaw in the current design. Once a bullet is selected in the Format-Position-Position under the Find and Replace function, there is no way to change it back to the default, ie, nothing selected. As mru had said, The Radio Button groups MUST be without default. Otherwise it would mean for the search, that only text formatted with the 0° Rotation or Normal position will be found; others will be excluded. Having default settings i this case would interfere the Search feature heavily. The only way to get back to the state of nothing selected is to close and reopen Writer, which is unacceptable. Thus, I hope that the option of 'all' as the default be included as soon as possible - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. A radio button can only be accessed by the Tab key when the radio button is selected. If you have designed a group of radio buttons where none are selected, then the user will not be able to access the group or any of the radio buttons by keyboard. When I tried to record a macro, with find and replace, I find that in the Format-Position-Position box, there is no default value set. First, I think printing a draft on the latest working-on sheet is quite frequent, it would be more effective to have a feature that enable the user to print just the active sheet, that is the sheet with its tab selected and top most. To go to the preview to determine its page number is not as effective because a sheet may ended up as multiple pages in print. if we are to use the current feature, we have to go through pages in preview just to determine the print range. Second, to reflect better on the current function of the print options, at least the wording in Tools/Options/Spreadsheet/Print/Print only selected sheets should be changed to Print only selected ranges. Please re-consider the propose feature. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 46275] Opening .sdw with GBK cod es
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=46275 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Sep 12 17:47:46 -0700 2005 --- In the years of StarOffice 5.2, most win98 applications do not support unicode, so is StarOffice 5.2. In order to work on non-western languages, one have to use a IME. In my case, I use Chinese, which requires the IME to output GBK or Big5 codes into StarOffice 5.2. Admit that these are old documents, but unless I have StarOffie 5.2 still install in my computer, I am unable to use these documents any more. Maybe not really, I can still use a text editor to open the .sdw file, copy the section that is probably the text, convert it to unicode with a conversion program, and paste it onto OOo. Nevertheless, a direct conversion would save me and many a lot of time. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. It seems that there is no way to create a dynamic text watermark. I am talking about the effect like the page break preview in Calc on the screen, where you can see page 1, page 2 etc. like a watermark in the back ground, in print out. This can be achieve by adding features (properties) show in every page, show in odd page or show in even page in a text frame, where fields can be inserted. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [l10n-issues] [Issue 51025] Insert Chinese chars in S tarSuite Draw Fontwork Gallery
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=51025 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jul 21 02:19:48 -0700 2005 --- It happens to my system too. Version. 1.9.118. win98 The fontwork frame is still around. It still can be selected by using the select tool and draging a box over it. Using right click while the box is selected, the font can be changed under the character menu. However, changing the western font alone changed the font of the Chinese characters and then the chinese characters appeared as expected. My guess is that the fontwork frame does not detect the use of Asian Character and therefore uses the the default western font. Also, when a western font is used in place of a Asian font, the 'square' character is not used which explain the disappearing of the whole frame. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
