when printing a handout, some images in the slides get a big black box around
them
this black box may be blocking other components of the slide
it is not always present.
The ODP document:
http://88.198.157.247/best4.odp
The result:
http://88.198.157.247/best4.pdf
The problem has been confirmed on 2 different printers: cups-pdf, and HP
laserjet 1000. (both grayscale)
The problem does not exist when printing slides on a whole page
The problem is reproducable, but only with this specific slide. others may
print fine.
The problem does not exist when exporting to PDF

unzipping the dictionary solves the problem. it's quite strange that i don't
have any problems with writer when the dics were still zipped. anyway, the
problem is not with impress, but it's related to dictooo

the sentence in the odp file testcase.odp is grammatically correct. why are all
the words of it marked as not found in the dictionary? I 've set the locale to
dutch for all the documents, and started a new document after changing this
setting, so the language should be NL. impress also uses the dutch dictionary
as default, but it does not work

i should not agree the status 'resolved'. the problem is NOT due to language
settings, just open impress with the locale set to dutch and enter this string:
"dit is een Nederlandse zin" -> test sentence, the syntax is completely correct,
i'm sure of that, but the spell checker still does not behave like designed

I did some research about the spell checker. it is also unable to initialise
when opening a microsoft powerpoint file , made with microsoft powerpoint 2003.
it says it hasn't found any error, but I don't remember the string
"qaaabsidfhfyuifhnfjf" to be a known word of any language ;). i'll post this
powerpoint file too

There seems to be something wrong with the install of the DUTCH dictionary under
openoffice impress 2.0 rc2. I installed the dutch and dutch_medical .dic's by
using the wizard. The problem is NOT with other dics, is not with other
openoffice 2.0 parts, and is not due to misconfiguration of the dictionary.lst
file, as you can see below:

HYPH da DK hyph_da_DK
HYPH de DE hyph_de_DE
DICT en GB en_GB
HYPH en GB hyph_en_GB
DICT en US en_US
HYPH en US hyph_en_US
THES en US th_en_US_v2
DICT it IT it_IT
HYPH it IT hyph_it_IT
HYPH ru RU hyph_ru_RU
DICT sw TZ sw_TZ
DICT sw KE sw_TZ
DICT th TH th_TH
# 15/10/2005 16:25:30
# 15/10/2005 16:25:32
DICT nl NL nl_NL
DICT nl NL nl_med
HYPH nl NL hyph_nl_NL

The dictionary simply does not work. If I enter a wrong word in openoffice
impress, and let it check by the spell checker, it simply says it has no
suggestions when using the dutch .dic, but if I enter the string in calc or
writer, I get a whole list of possibilities

when I save a document with openoffice 1.9.118 writer in the microsoft word
97/2000/XP format and open it again, the page counter only switches the page
number if the previous one has completely disappeared. When using the
sxw-format or the odt-format, the problem does not appear. I found this while
trying the different formats (I saved one document, containing text only, using
those 3 formats). Normally, this is not a problem, but if you have a large
display and a large resolution (1600x1200), it may be irritating, because
(requesting a page size fit) you can search for a sentence on page 11 while the
counter says you are on page 10.
