It does it with m21 as well. I wonder if it happens only with a specific build
of Word. I will see if this also happens with other Word Processing apps. FWIW,
it is ONLY the indent that it loses. The other formatting remains in place. If
memory serves me correctly, I think Zoho has the same problem. Not sure that
matters.

I am uploading the Word document from which the comments SHOULD have come from.
I did a few edits and then decided to go back and work with the original. If
anyone wants, I can upload that as well. It is a .doc file.

When opening word documents, I modify a paragraph format to double space and
indent automatically. If I save, close and open the document (as a .doc), the
indent formatting is lost and has to be reset.

I did not have the opportunity to upload the file before updating to m21. Not
sure why, but the issue is no longer reproducible. So, I'm closing this for now
unless I find I can reproduce this in a predictable fashion.

I was using a file sent to me by a person using MS Word. I opened this document
in m20 without problems. I saved it in .odt format. I just updated to m21 and
lost all the comments.

If I go back to the original file (MS Word), the comments are imported without
issue. This is a pretty important feature for people using the product to
collaborate on a project as I am.

It might not be a simple as inserting, cutting and pasting. I have a 6 page
document with other images in it. I am using the lastest development version.

I just tried it again. I was able to cut and paste about three times in the same
file. I was beginning to think you folks might have a point when I got:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\OOo-dev 3\program\office.bin

R6205
- pure virtual function call

Once this error is produced, it will continue to be reproduced with increasing
frequency as the application is used.

Cheers

I tried to copy and paste unformatted text from Adobe Photoshop and then Notepad
and each time, the text would only paste the first line of the copied text. In
addition, using insert file for the notepad text file seem to pick up the same
limitations. It appears limited because of the text tool in Photoshop, however
other word processors such as SoftMaker's TextMaker does NOT have this problem.

Having said that, it is NOT a problem through Notepad. If one types text in
Notepad, all text will be pasted into Writer as expected.

To duplicate:

Open a file in Photoshop's PSD format
Select Text tool and write several lines of text using hard return for
paragraphs
Select Text Copy
In 3.0 beta of Writer, paste... only one line will paste.

In this particular version, if a spelling error is encountered and the
the Ignore All menu item is selected, the words continues to display as
though it were an error. For example, I type in the German word daß using the
older spelling to reflect older text and when I click ignore all, it continued
to display the red wavy line underneathe the word.

Has this issue been addressed? I have not been able to use OOo since about 2.1
or 2.2, (about a year) because of this problem. There won't be votes for people
seeing this issue, because they can't use the product without losing a LOT of
time. This is especially important in longer documents.

I am using the latest dev build. English version. Although all options are set
to German with the exception of the Interface, the spellchecker refuses to see
any German words. Thus all words are marked as if they are spelled incorrectly.

How can it NOT see for example und. This issue should NOT be closed.

If one wants to use a short cut key to initiate a series of formatted text such
as italics, or bold in dev build OOG680_m7, one must select the text. One cannot
simply use the short cut key then proceed in the format expected. This is
unexpected behaviour.

I tested this again... it occurs when typing in an existing paragarph. For
example, the short cut keys can be used to initiate format changes at the
beginning of a paragraph, but once the paragraph has been initiated or created,
a manual selection of words must occur to change the format of the text.

I submitted a similar issue on the vertical scroll bar, thus it appears that
there is a general problem with scroll bars in 2.3.

They do not work. Each time, you grab a scroll bar and try to move the visible
area, they bounce back to the original position.

Cheers

2007 ---
Per the Summary, it simply does NOT work. This was not a problem in 2.2 or
previous versions.

The document I am using is a simple text document, but I cannot access any
formatting changes other than those already listed in the quick menu on the
left hand side of the screen.

Cheers
Jim
