A shame, nevertheless. In my experience, OOo PDF export does not utilize the fonts called for in an OOo document, instead substituting common alternatives such as Times Roman. Given that "using the right fonts" is the most basic level of visual fidelity, I assume the team is already well aware of that defect/limitation. Multi-component functions--especially ones that may have some platform dependencies and some multi-vendor issues thrown in for good measure--are undoubtedly more work than those that can be solved in just one location. But they can also have more systematic value. We, a publishing shop, are transitioning to Writer as our production layout and formatting engine. It replaces FrameMaker, in our case. Producing attractive PDFs with the hyperlinks active--without going through a whole manual process of adding them after the fact--is a Highly Desirable capability. One of our customers has already mentioned how some of the PDFs are "broken." :-( - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. As there are straightforward ways of indicating hyperlinks to the Adobe suite (namely, the pdfmark operator), I assume that OOo is simply not emitting them when printing. Exporting to PDF correctly preserves the links, and may be a workaround for some uses. Unfortunately, Export to PDF works at notably lower document quality and fidelity than the Adobe suite, and is therefore not acceptible for our production use. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. It appears to be related to the column spanning (aka cell merging) function. js181096's table uses a span on the bottom column. In order to eliminate the chance of some historical data corruption from an eariler OOo rev, I created a new, but similar table from scratch in 1.9m104. No joy. If there are 5 spanned columns, OOo seems to want to insert 6 new columns rather than the 1 requested. The placement of those columns in relationship to the span, combined with the fact that I get no such error unless spanning is involved, suggest the insert function is not adequately handling the span situation. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. As described in step 8 below, the graphic is suddenly not visible. The HTML is not harmed, however, and it still points to the correct image file. If one does File>Reload at this point, the picture becomes visible again and all is well. But that is not necessarily a great workaround, to ask users to constantly "Reload "! Moreover, if one makes changes in the Web Layout and then saves, the underlying HTML is then greatly broken. Instead of a correct image location, some sort of temporary cache location is inserted. "Majorly" is a slang word, according to the dictionary.com reference given below. Even if slang words are some times included in the standard dictionary, this seems a very low-priority issue--a P5 at the very worst. And like many other words that one or another user may use but that are not in the default dictionaries, there is an easy (and purpose-built) workaround: The Add to Dictionary feature. ;-) I'd vote to close this issue. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
