I use Neo 2.2.5 Patch 4. Neo could not open the OOo Base file so I created a
new one. Cuting out the line worked but I could only insert the field at the
end of the list.

Okay I checked OOo Base on a friends Mac. He has the very same Mac and OOo
build as I but the bug does not appear on his Mac... The only thing is that on
his Mac I can't past the field only at the end of the table and I can't edit
the length of integer fields.

I'll try to download and reinstall my OOo on the weekend. Perhaps one of the
builds was corrupted.

Okay I try. I use the German version so I can't tell you the options in
English, I only can translate them.

So what I did was editing an existing table. I opend Base, opend my Projekt and
went to tables. There is my existing table. On a right click I can choose
bearbeiten (edit). Now the same dialog opens as in creating a new table.

I've got 7 fields in my table and added an 8th. So far no problem.
But I don't want the new field at the end. So I thought I can move it arround
but there is no option for that. So I decidet to use cut and past like in
Command+X and Command+V.
If you make a right click on a field the first option you get is
aussschneiden (Cut out). If I choose this option base crashes.

Is this clear enough? I don't know how I can tell you more.

Starting Base far the first time brings up a message that no JRE is running and
that I have to install Java. Java is installed on my system but OOo didn't find
it.
If you go to preferencesoptionsJava you will find no entry. I took a look in
NeoOffice and found the right path:
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/...

here are several versions I just tool one of them.

If it is no big deal you should include the path so that OOo finds Java on its
own.

I can't open a complete new table in Base. After adding a table I tried to fill
it with some data but on opening the table I get an error message. It says that
Base could not read the data.
Here the error

SQL-Status: HY000
Fehler-Code: 1000

syntax error, unexpected INVALIDSYMBOL, expecting $end, Invalid symbol

and

SQL-Status: HY000
Fehler-Code: 1000

Syntax error in SQL expression

If I click okay an empty edit window opens but I can't edit anything.

I can edit the table and change the fields.

In TeX I have to load special encryption settings. Does Base know that?
