My reasoning: 99% of the academic and corporate world requires Times. When I do a term paper, if it's not in Times with 12 pt, I get a zero. Simple as that. I recommend that we revert back to Times as it was before. If this is a legal issue, then that is a whole different story, but other than that we should be tailoring this program to the end users' needs. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I get the same error, but the file is not saved and cannot be resaved again (except in another format). This is pretty serious, so I'm going to move it up a level - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 41588] General Input/Output Error upon saving a .doc file
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=41588 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Feb 5 15:32:11 -0800 2005 --- In addition, after saving, going back and editing the document and resaving, no error messages come up. I only get a dialog asking me if I want to save it in Word format (can loose formatting in .doc format). After I hit yes it saves it fine. Doing Save As and saving it as a different file does not produce an error message. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
