Mysql database version 4.1 , on an external machine . Connect via JDBC Sun Java
Version 1.6.0.16 . Mysql-Connector-java 3.2.0 alpha . Datetime format of Field
DD/MM/YY HH:MM some values in the table have no date time entered . You can look
at the table in design view and Base recognizes that data in that field is not
required . Error reported is that "The data content could not be loaded , Cannot
convert value '-00-00 00:00:00'from column 7 to TIMESTAMP . Other tables in
the same database without null values in a datetime field open OK . The same
database table can be connected to from Microsoft Access in Windows via ODBC
and shows NULL values in the table OK. Mysqlcc under windows also works to the
same table as does a mysql client under linux. Seems the datetime conversion
code is working all the time even if the field is marked as not always being
required.
