When I experiences the problem I used to have klipper (a kde clipboard app)
active in the system tray. Since I am using Gnome at the moment I don't see
these problems anymore. I will make some more tests with and without clipboard
programs active and report back.

[graphics-issues] [Issue 49907] Time delay when using copy /paste/cut

I experience the same issue, here is some data:

System: Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04
Graphics controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express
Processor: Intel Atom N270 @ 1.60 GHz (512 Kb cache)
Ram: 1Gb

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. Open another application (gtk preferred) like Firefox
3. Copy some text in a document opened in writer
4. Switch to Firefox *with the mouse through taskbar*
5. There will be a delay from 3 to 5 seconds
6. Try to paste the contents of the clipboard

Results:
- *Sometimes* the copied text is not in the clipboard
- When using the taskbar to switch there will be a delay

Expected results:
- Don't detain task switching with *mouse*
- Copy the selected text to clipboard everytime

I cannot reproduce this problem on every system, but on some (OO version 3.0 and
3.1). Switching the task with the mouse (background window) does not result in
the delay.

The wizard of Impress offers a very small listbox-window in step2 (select
background). I think it would be a usability improvement if such dialogs would
use more of the available screen area. In the current situation there are only 4
items of the list visible making it hard to get an overview.

It would be nice to have a context menu called duplicate slide in the context
menu of the slide pane. The function should be the same like
Insert-Duplicate Slide.

When I create a writer document with hyperlinks in it and click one of the links
then the formatting changes to visited hyperlink by default. So far so good.
But when I export it as a pdf the visited formatting gets exported as well. I
think thats not what a user expects.

Sorry, I overlooked the notification that this bug has changed. So here are

customize - menus. Notice, there is no option to change the icon for the
item. Now look at screenshot 2 (toolbars), as you can see there is an option
to replace the icon.

Lets say somebody wants to create a simple invoicing system with OpenOffice.org
Base with the following tables:
customers
oders
orderdetails

Now we'd like to create a report based on that data with fields from ONE row of
'customers', ONE row of 'orders' and several rows of 'orderdetails' (thats the
invoice we want to print). The report wizard doesn't allow that kind of
grouping/detailview. Look at crystalreports or something similar to see what I
mean, if this isn't clear.

When inserting special characters through Insert - Special Character... the
dialog should have an insert button and a close button, so that the user can
insert multiple special characters without having to open the dialog again and
again.

[framework-issues] [Issue 41592] [performance]-OO.o should be preloaded during OS startup for faster loading later

Supplement to my previous comment:

After changing the value of
Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - Memory - Use for OpenOffice.org
to 30 MB the startup-time could be increased about 50%. Also prelinking the
libraries helped much. Shouldn't the memory setting be default at 20-30 MB?

However, startup time and performance are really really important!!! It is very
annoying to click on a document and then having to wait like I called for a
pizza! Especially under linux the performance of the current 2.0 beta is
unacceptable (kpoffice / abiword loads about 10 to 15 times faster).

Also, how about a quick-viewer for oo-documents, for viewing e-mail attachments?

C4=IF(F4=Test;18:00;06:00)
D4=IF(F4=Test;06:00;18:00)
F4=Test
E4=(HOUR(C6-D6)*60+MINUTE(C6-D6))/60

Result for E4 (format number '0,00'): 0,00
Result for E4 should be: 12,00

When using conditions the resulting values cannot be used with time-functions.

Tested version of OOo: 1.9.71.1 (Linux, PC)

Sorry, to test this you need to set E4=(HOUR(C4-D4)*60+MINUTE(C4-D4))/60,
don't use row 6 as shown above.
