This feature already exists in MS Access and makes constructing databases easier. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This feature already exists in MS Access and is very timesaving when constructing the database. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 73132] Locked tables when using v iews
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73132 Issue #|73132 Summary|Locked tables when using views Component|Database access Version|OOo 2.1 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|Windows XP Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|none Assigned to|dbaneedsconfirm Reported by|martinahlin --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 4 06:06:37 -0800 2007 --- When using views, the included tables cannot be edited without first deleting the view. This is very inconvenient if reports are based on the view and you want to make a change to the table. Then you have to delete both view and report, make the change in the table and then start all over again. For some reason I once managed to add a field to such a table, but then the whole database collapsed (see attached file), complaining about inconsistency between the tables and views. OO must allow and pass on changes in tables to the views. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
