Dear friends,
I don't know how do you define Priority 1 issue. I understand tha non-English
Mac users of OOO is just a niche. But for anyone of that niche (not only Polish
- the bug also exists in other non-English languages) - this issue is definitely
Priority 1 as it makes OOO unusable. I am making this P1 again. If I am wrong
- please correct me.

Thanx everybody for clarifing the priorities. I would say is more P2 than P3 but
nevermind... Has anyone else been able to reproduce the bug? It occurs on both
of my MacBooks with Mac OS X 10.6 installed. Tonight, I'll double check with the
examples given by @pl. BTW, what is your system locale? Thx.

I have attached the file I tried to save as fnärp.odt Everything fails exactly
the same way as previously reported with zażółć gęślą jaźń.odt. I think it
confirms the bug is not Polish-specific.

Don't mark this as a duplicate of Issue 69973!!! Read it first and think for a
second!

First of all, the problem is specific for Mac OS X ONLY. I use Mac OS X, MS
Windows and Linux (Ubuntu 10.4) and none of the problems described below never
happened on any other system than Mac OS X.

Secondly, this is not a enhancement request - this bug prevents any
non-English users from using OOO on Mac OS X system. I repeat - OOO is NOT
USABLE with this bug.

Here's the description of what happens:

1. OOO messes up filenames when trying to safe a file containg a non-english
character. For example - while trying to safe a file zażółć gęślą jaźń.odt I
got a file named: za?%F3?? g??l? ja??.odt

2. OOO cannot open a file containg a non-english character - regardless it was
created on Mac OS X system or another. When I try to open the file zażółć gęślą
jaźń.odt I got a message: zażółć gęślą jaźń.odt does not exist

Moreover, when I try to open the file created a while before with OOO on Mac OS
X named za?%F3?? g??l? ja??.odt I got a system message: The application
OpenOffice.org.app can't be opened. -108

This bug occured with the 3.0 release and it's still there in the OOO330m7!!!
It's really big time to fix it people!!!

On different Macs I am using both English and Polish. I have installed English
OOO on Mac with English version of Mac OS and Polish OOO on a Polish Mac OS. The
problem is exactle the same on both. I don't know how to check the UTF-8 thing,
cannot find it in System Preferences :) Little help with this, please...

[sw-issues] [Issue 94545] Invalid select-word keyboa rd shortcut; should be Option-Shift-arrow?

Definitely, there should at least be an option to remap selection. It has always
been a huge problem for me - using different keyboard shortcut in email or
browser and in editor. That was the main reason for myself to dump NeoOffice. OO
3.0 is much improvement, apart from this little issue. One thing to mention
addtionally - command - shift - arrow in every other application selects from
coursor to the end of the line. In oo 3.0 it selects word right / left. This
should clearly also be remapped.

In every aqua application in Max OS X, jump word right or word left works with
option-arrow keyboard shortcut. In old releases of OO for Mac it wasn't the case
- the keybord shortcut was command-arrow. It was the main reason for me not to
switch to OO.

In OO 3.0 the jump shortcut works great.

However, in every aqua application, pressing shift while jumping word right or
left selects word right or left. This is not the case with OO - one can select
word right or left by pressing command-shift-arrow instead of
option-shift-arrow. Very small yet very annoying bug, easy to fix I believe.
