1.) We downloaded the new OO beta build 1.30 and we decided to install
Impress, Writer and Math (A custom, not complete installation).
2.) We then opened Impress and tried to insert a spreadsheet (using the
insert -- spreadsheet). We could not because we didn’t have Calc
installed.
3.) We then proceeded to install the other components Base, Calc and Draw
(Another custom installation). We did not install them orignally, because we
did not think we would have need for them.
4.) We then opened Impress again. The spreadsheet now appeared under the
insert heading but it was shaded out. We could not insert the spreadsheet.
--^This is the problem^--
5.) We then uninstalled all of OO and reinstalled all the components (a
complete install). This time we were able to insert the spreadsheet.

Is this non-updating of features from a new installation a bug? or is there
another step beyond just installing pieces which must be done to link the new
features?

We were testing Impress to see if it would be capable of managing a maximum
size spreadsheet (65536 rows, 256 columns IV).
1.) We inserted a spreadsheet by using the spreadsheet under the Insert
heading on the first toolbar.
2.) We resized the spreadsheet to fill the entire screen(we resized beyond the
top of the work area).
3.) We were unable to see the top of the spreadsheet (column headers, rows
12). The highest cell row we could see was row 3 and the column headers were
not visible.
4.) We then entered (in the top left text field ) A1 to reach the top of the
spreadsheet. (we did this after scrolling down - same result as 3.)

We were testing Impress to see if the scrollbars would move the current
viewing area correctly.
1.) We inserted a spreadsheet by using the spreadsheet under the Insert
heading on the first toolbar.
2.) We used a max size spreadsheet [65536 rows, 256 columns IV](aligned to
the top-left corner of Impresses display area) and then scrolled down toward
the middle of the rows (~row 32768).
3.) We then moved the bottom scrollbar (to move across the width of the
display area) and everything worked fine. We left this bar all the way left.
4.) We then moved the side scrollbar (to move across the height of the display
area) and the viewing area jumped several columns to the right even though the
bottom scroll bar did not change.
5.) Then upon moving the bottom scroll bar the row headers appeared again.

1.) We inserted a spreadsheet by using the spreadsheet under the Insert

2.) We made a max size spreadsheet (65536 rows, 256 columns IV) and aligned

3.) We resized (by the bottom right corner)the spreadsheet to make it bigger
and it scooted to the left of the Impress view area. We were unable to see
any of the row headers now.
4.) We continued doing this. Eventually you will be unable to see the
spreadsheet at all and all you will be able to view is the empty slide in the
Impress view area. Instead of enlarging, it becomes smaller (to the left).

We couldn't replicate the bug on either of the two systems. When we typed in
the slide and used the Demote button the text would become a smaller font
size.

We weren't able to reproduce the bug on either of the systems. We did notice
that it took slightly longer for it to redisplay the information on screen once.
It was barely perceptible, this could be because our systems were relatively
fast.

We were unable to reproduce this bug. As stated in some of the comments it
could be because the Videocards of the systems we used were GeForce's and not of
the ATI line. The slideshow worked great in both systems and didn't slow down a
bit.

We have Adobe Reader 7.0.3. We were unable to reproduce the bug on either of
the systems. The attached document opens with Impress and it doesn't hang. We
even tried going thru the slides as fast as possible and it worked perfectly.

We were able to reproduce the bug with the add-on submitted by bmarcelly. We
then ran the slideshow and a box was displayed on screen along with the current
slide. We had some trouble finding the add-on toolbar until we closed the
current Impress project. We then proceeded to check if it still ocurred when
the toolbar was docked. We docked the toolbar and then went to the slideshow.
The toolbar remained on screen with the slides, but now it was a bar running
along the top of the screen.

We were able to reproduce the bug. We tested with a a slideshow of moderate
size, about 10-20 slides. When we used the Summary Slide under the Insert
heading it created the summary slide. We then proceeded to view the slide. The
summary slide contained a list of the titles of the preceeding slides. The list
was bulleted and left margin justified. The list ran off the slide. It went so
far down that we had to move the text box up to be able to see the end of the
list. The list also retains the formatting of the titles from their original
slides. This makes the list even bigger. We assumed that the slide summary
should resize them so they would fit in the slide.

We were unable to reproduce the bug on either of the two systems. The slides

slide speed. This might be to the sheer size of the file though.

We were able to reproduce the bug. We first went to the saved file and used
Open With and opened it using OO. The table was unreadable. We then tried
moving the table and it resized. Now it was pefectly readable. From there on
we ran into a different problem. These are the steps we did:

- We opened file with Open With and used OO.
- We moved the table to resize it.
- Double click the table to have it open in Microsoft Word.
- Return to Impress, now the object is just a picture of an Object Icon.
- The object was now only viewable thru MS Word.
- We then clicked the Save icon on the toolbar.
- We got an error message stating there was an error in formating. We proceeded
with the save
- The table reappered on the impress slide.
- Close Impress.
- Open the same file again.
- The table is no longer on the file.

The table would be replaced with an Object Icon picture everytime we clicked it
except when we clicked the Save icon before doubleclicking on the table. We
then tryed with using the Save icon after we double-clicked on the table and
it would also reappear. If we saved before doubleclicking, the table would
appear in the file once we reopened it. If we didn't do this we would get the
error and then not have the table in the document. Also if you clicked the
Save button at any point, before or after, and then access the table. The
table would not change to the Object Icon even after accessing it.

We tryed all of this by opening the file from an empty slide of Impress and all
the steps were reproducible.
