[ui-issues] [Issue 69691] double-clicking OOo files in Windows Explorer does not open them
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=69691 Issue #|69691 Summary|double-clicking OOo files in Windows Explorer does not | open them Component|ui Version|OOo 2.0.4 Platform|PC URL| OS/Version|Windows XP Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P4 Subcomponent|ui Assigned to|sba Reported by|nachumk --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 20 01:10:34 -0700 2006 --- This problem occurs with non-english names of files. I took the same file that was named טורניר פינג פונג.xls and changed it to test.xls and it opens fine. I renamed test.xls back to something with hebrew and it no longer opens. There is no indication when trying to open the files, except that mouse changes to busy for a moment then goes back to normal. Nothing opens and no errors are given. This appears to be reported already as issue 57220, but that issue was closed due to inability to reproduce. The problem occurs with version OOo_2.0.4rc2_060913_Win32Intel_install.exe installed clean on Windows XP SP2. I uninstalled previous versions, I deleted the program files\ooo-dev-2.0 and openoffice.org folders. I deleted documents and settings\user\application data\openoffice.org and ooo-dev2.0 folders, and then I installed version OOo_2.0.4rc2_060913_Win32Intel_install.exe and tested. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [util-issues] [Issue 57505] New - words that are parse d as 2 words are allowed in the dictionary
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=57505 Issue #:|57505 Summary:|words that are parsed as 2 words are allowed in the |dictionary Component:|utilities Version:|OOo 2.0 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|code Assigned to:|hro Reported by:|nachumk --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Nov 8 01:49:54 -0800 2005 --- It shouldn't be possible to manually add words with hyphens or numbers or spaces in them to the dictionaries. They will never get used in ooo. Either it shouldn't allow it, or some sort of warning or error should come up. (If it does allow it, then perhaps those words should be highlighted to signify that there is something wrong with them.) An example word would be pac-man. The hyphen makes it into 2 words when being typed into Writer, so the pac brings up a red line, and since pac isn't in the dictionary the word is considered to be mispelled. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
