The bug only occurs on the first slide shown after going into Slideshow mode.

If you crop an image and hit slideshow it will not show as cropped. If you
advance to the next slide and then back to the first, it will show as cropped.
Likewise if you start the slideshow on a slide with no cropped images and then
advance through to a cropped image it will render properly.

I confirmed this behavior on Linux (Fedora Core 4), Mac X11.

To recreate bug:

1) Create new presentation
2) Import a JPEG image
3) Apply a Crop

Image will be properly cropped in all the normal slide-editing modes, PDF
export, printing, etc.

4) Press Slide Show button, un-cropped image is shown.

If I save this presentation, open it in OOo 2.2, and hit Slideshow the cropped
image is show so this is something that broke in the 2.3 release.

I discovered this on Mac/X11 platform but a forum poster running XP version also
encountered it so I assume it is a problem on all platforms.

Duplicate of Issue 4040.

Note that as of v2.2, text pasted into Calc from an unknown source will invoke
the Text Import dialog box which provides this functionality.

There is also a macro available to do this to a range of data (as Excel does)
here:
http://www.ooomacros.org/user.php#104183

Duplicate of Issue 4040.

As of v2.2, text pasted into Calc from an unknown source will invoke the Text
Import dialog box, you shouldn't need to do paste special.

[sc-issues] [Issue 4040] Convert text to columns

I agree, the requirements are clear. As of v2.2, text pasted into Calc from an
unknown source will invoke the Text Import dialog box which provides this
functionality. All that needs to be added is a menu option to do the same to the
selected cell range in a spreadsheet. This may also allow for the
Text-Import-on-paste dialog to be less sensitive, e.g. only come-up when
pasting multi-line delimited data and not more limited normal text (See
complaints on issue 15509)
