------- Additional comments from orcl_lo...@openoffice.org Thu Mar 11 11:58:17 +0000 2010 ------- Ditto. The last version of OO installed fine on my Windows 7 machine. But after receiving the automatic update that a new version is available, and downloading and installing it, even after initially granting it permissions to make changes to my hard drive I received an error midway during the installation that it couldn't copy a certain file due to permissions. So I aborted the installation. Then I found that the original file type associations I had for OO were broken (.ppt etc). I tried reinstalling the new version as administrator. It installed successfully. But after then clicking on a PPT file I get a dialog: " soffice.bin - System Error The program can't start because sofficeapp.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. " Should I reinstall entirely? Where do I find sofficeapp.dll so I can copy it to the folder? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
