Connect Base to mysql database (assuming there is a table created) 2. Query with SQL: "Select CAST(Col1 as CHAR) as Col1 From Table1" error occurs As far as my observations yielded, it's a connector independent bug. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110675 User ottoshmidt changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID --- Additional comments from ottoshm...@openoffice.org Thu Apr 8 06:29:40 + 2010 --- Yep, there isn't such bug.. I was working with a user which hadn't had a Select privilege on MySql server and that was a reason the event wouldn't play for a table. And when I tested on an embedded database I hadn't linked a form to a table and that was the other reason macro event wouldn't have worked. All these produced an illusion for a bug... hmm damned wrong perception.. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=104023 --- Additional comments from ottoshm...@openoffice.org Thu Aug 6 08:40:21 + 2009 --- The thing is that if I insert MySQL TimeStamp column and want to watch it in a Form. I create TextBox (or something) to display that timestamp for a given entry, but I won't change it myself. When I set "Empty String is Null" to No I suppose that "Input Required" is no longer valid, but if under "Input Required" remained value Yes.. the Form won't let me save entry unless I enter anything in that TextBox, while I have that Textbox read-only 'cause MySQL inserts TimeStamps automatically... Not knowing that I lost 1 entry data and needed to reenter after correction "Input Required" to No... Not a big Deal but still.. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Form in Design mode 2. right-click any field and Control 3. under Data tab, When "Empty String is Null" set to "No", "Input required" becomes inactive, but form will still be dependent on the entry in that parameter. So if you want to set "Empty String is Null" to "No", you'll first have to adjust "Input required" parameter to needed value (Yes; No) and then Change "Empty String is Null" to "No". Well it's not a big issue but still might be confusing for the first time - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
