I do not know how your opensymbol font dependencies work for bullet display, but
wouldn't it be easier to add a "change bullet" button in the gui that becomes
active after a character is selected for format-bullets and
numbering-bullets(tab) that would allow the user to define the character and
size of the bullet (or make it a right click option for the default character or
all eight and or all levels) that would seem to solve the issues in about a
dozen posts I have read and eliminate the need to force opensymbol to be used
here. then the user defines the character and size and they can do with it as
they please. This is my one pet peave with open office. I can not define my
default bullet and have the program store the character info. It seems the
programming approach is to use a single font instead of making the character
user defined.
