This lack of table style is imho a serious flaw in writer, and should be fixed.
A partial work around to updating table formatting is using a macro that re-
applies a table AutoFormat. However there are a few bugs in creating the
AutoFormats:
- Text flow - disallow table to split across pages is NOT retained
- Text flow - Vertical alignment is not retained.
- ...may be some more I have not tested all.
I appreciate the enormous task of introducing table styles (requested for some
5 years now). So my suggestion is to give top priority to saving ALL settings
of Table Format in the user defined AutoFormats
