This issue is solved in OOo 2.4. I tried with MacOS 10.4.11 on a Powerbook G4,
and also with MacOS 10.5.3 on a iMac Intel (using X11 3 beta), in both cases
starting from X11 manually.

Connecting to an outgoing mail server in OOo 3 beta (for Macintosh) doesn't
work.

Setting an account in Tools Options OOo-dev Writer Mail Merge E-mail (with
the same parameters as in Mail) and then pushing button Test settings fails:
Establish network connection Failed
Finding outgoing mail server Failed
Error: OOo-dev could not connect to the outgoing mail server...

My server smtp.laposte.net uses authentification with user name and password, no
SSL.

Interestingly, when using the Mail Merge Wizard, in the Final Window Sending
E-mail Messages there is a message The connection to the outgoing mail server
has been established, but: 0 of 2 e-mails sent

The procedure works perfectly with OOo 2.4, under X11, using the same settings.

Thanks for this hack. I installed it on my iMac Intel. It works and I hopethat
there are no problems somewhere else.

I still have the problem with the current (2.2) release for Macintosh (Intel). I
just discovered that creating a new drawing has the same effect! Is this an X11
issue?

When selecting the dictionary wizard in OOo 2.1, DocOOo-1.6.1 starts and asks
for a language. I selected English. The next page shows a button Start DicOOo.
The size of the windows that opens on clicking this depends on the size of the
open OOo window. If the window is still sufficiently large for an A4 document,
it is too narrow to use any other than the Cancle button. The text is cropped.

When I open a spreadsheed document (by dragging or by using the Open dialogue),
it systematically covers the whole screen below the menu line including the
dock. I need to click the green button to reduce the size before I can adjust
the page as I like. The size of the document window doesn't seem to be stored
when saving it.

This issue did not appear in former versions of OOo; I remark it since 2.0.4,
and also in 2.1.
