When the user selects to insert the control, nothing happens. Rational: Currently, the user can select the instance tab and click and drag the nodes from this tab into the form, but that is undocumented. Currently, after selecting the node in the XML data navigator and right-clicking on the node you are offered an option to Insert Control. This option does nothing. One would think it would insert that node into the document form. Notes: What would be nice is that if a quick wizard comes up when they select Insert Control to help the user choose various options before OO.o inserts the form control into the document form. It sounds like you are trying to use OO.o base to perform XForm type of stuff; thus, your approach doesn't address what you are trying to accomplish. You want to look into using OO.o and XForms to accomplish what you intend.
