Sorry, but I performed a test in a MS-SQL database. The behavior was the same.
Maybe this issue is fixed in in cws dba321a but this should be checked in my
opinion.

@ Aj: What does it mean for me? Today I'll try to - convert the database in
Access 2007 format, so maybe I can work with this file ...

My problem is that from 3.1.1 to 3.2.0 Oo has a diagram bugfix which I
desperately need. So a return to Verion 3.1.1 is not really helpful...

- Using a MS-Access 2000 database file (mdb)
- Creating a form with a subform (manually or by assistent)

Result: In the subform no data is shown. It seems to be a problem with the
linked fields / relations between main- and subform and the OO form query in
the background.

sarotti=fs:

I checked other form documents - but to be honest - these are without a
background pictures. They are perfect.

But I´m wondering about another thing: The behavior depends on the number of
labels. If only a few labels are in the form, you will not find this effect –
or only a few labels are not shown.

The critical thing - personally for me - is the colleagues in my company are
working active with this database and forms. I had a hard job to implement OO
in my company (there was a hard fight with the MS fraction...) and now these
people discuss about the decision using with OO as an alternative to MS office
programs.

To be honest - for me it´s first of all a cosmetic thing. But it´s a question
for me personally as you can imagine

If you can give me an alternative - e.g. a special reload for the form view,
it will help me in the first step.

The OO 2.0 version we used before did not show this problem (The database form
were developed on basis of this version.

I created several Form documents (odt), with a database connection. Opening a
form does not show any label field. When scaling the document new (e.g. with
scroll mouse) the labels will be shown correct.

Deleting a column does not actualize the chart

Creating a chart based on several columns, deleting one of these columns does
not actualize the chart correctly.

Example: Create a bar or line-chart based on the data in A1:E5. Delete e.g.
column B and you get an interesting result. The new colunm B is twice in the
chart and the number of bars / lines does not change.

Best regards

O.K. ..I try to explain it once again (and I sent before a pdf file to show you
what I mean)

- the data in a spreadsheet of calc: columns A to F
- create a line chart with this data column A:F
- In the chart you´ll see 6 lines (A to F) based on the columns
- hide column E and F
- normally the result was two lines are also hidden in the chart
- in version 3.1 (I used before2.0) there is no effect on the chart - the lines
of the hidden column E and F are still shown in the chart

...hope you can reproduce now my problem

Hi,
creating a chart, based on several columns and hide later some of the columns,
does not hide the lines/bars in the chart. In OO 2.0 to 3.0 the function
exists. I need this function because I generate per macro from a database
charts automatically and the user has the option to hide some lines/bars per
API code from the chart to get a better overview. Also the manual test has the
same effect.

P.S. ...Is there a possibility to predefine globally the line width for the
whole chart before creating it?

ajtensen-
using the Base MS Access connection under Windows to
work with the .mdb file, not an external ODBC connection for instance?

Correct, it´s the original MS Access OO driver...

Sorry, but I have no example in a HSQL database, but I tried it and it was the
same...not in the macro code - I have not tested this - but in the database
query the frozen system was the same...

fs-Thank you for your fast feedback...attached you can find my Access 97
database with the problems in the query.

atjensen-yes, it works in the macro code (oStatement.EscapeProcessing = False)
but the same happens when creating a query in the database itself in the
design mode. It´s a little bit strange for OO only hanging or freezing without
a message...so my interpretation is, that there is a code failure in OO ...

Hi,

I created several database query's in my macro code which are not running with
OO 3.1. These querys all have relations between more than two tables and are
defined like this:

„...
sSQL=SELECT `DOKUMENT`.`Kapitel`, `DOKUMENT`.`Typ`, `DOKUMENT`.`Titel`,
`DOKUMENT`.`Link`, `DOKUMENT`.`Blatt`, `DOKUMENT`.`Nr`, `DOKUMENT`.`erlDatum`,
`DOKUMENT`.`Revision`, `DOKUMENT`.`DotName` FROM `VertNeu` `VertNeu`,
`DOKUMENT` `DOKUMENT`, `Handbuch` `Handbuch` WHERE ( `VertNeu`.`ID_Dokument` =
`DOKUMENT`.`ID`) AND (`VertNeu`.`ID_Handbuch` = `Handbuch`.`ID_Handbuch` ) AND
( ( `Handbuch`.`Nummer` = '05' ) ) AND ( ( `Handbuch`.`Abteilung` = 'QW-L' ) )
ORDER BY `DOKUMENT`.`Kapitel`, `DOKUMENT`.`Nr` ASC

oErgSet=oStatement.executeQuery(sSQL)
….“

This code is running perfect with OO 2.4 - with 3.1 there is a frozen / hanging
system. Also the change to an LEFT OUTER JOIN query has the same effect, but
is only working correctly with two related tables.

Using the SQL code in the database directly the query only is running when the
SQL code is used as a direct command (like before in the macro code in OO
2.4.1). I found no way to define my macro code to work as a direct query
command (e.g. with the API command naturalSQL)

Because I need this query's to operate with my several databases in my company,
I need top urgent a solution for this issue.

Thank you for your assistance.

P.S. It´s an MS-Access 97 Database. But the test with an HSQL database shows
the same behavior

Hi all,

this behaviour is indeed new and not very funny. The former versions (before
2.4.0) did not show this problem. In the german OO forum this problem is
described from several people who downgraded to an old OO Version. I found out
that the MacroEcecutionMode tip ALWAYS_EXECUTE_NO_WARN work but all Macros
opening a document must be modified

Last but not least it is not only in database forms but with ALL documents
which are opened indirectly by using a macro.

Thank you for this information and your help, but I was really surprised to
see, that my old code did this mistake without any failure message. So I
thought it´s a mistake in the OO 2.3 version ...

If there would be a message nobody would think about sending an issue for
this

Hi all,

I created a code which automatically creates a chart diagramm in a spreadsheet.
In version 2.0 and until 2.2.1 everything worked perfect. But in 2.3.0 RC2 my
code the titles, subtitle and axis title cant be set in the diagram. Manually
it works perfect.

My code for this is

...
Chart.Title.String=My title

oDia=Chart.Diagram

oDia.YAxisTitle.String=My Y-Axis text
oDia.HasYAxisTitle=True

oDia.XAxisTitle.String=My X-Axis text
oDia.HasXAxisTitle=True

Thank you for yout assistance.

best regards

Sorry, I checked everything (also I changed to 2.1 RC2) and now the error is
not reproducible. I made some tests, and maybe it is a (or my) mistake in
declaration the variables. I made the experience that SQL Macro Code with a
date (DIM xxx as Date) is criticel to use when you create a query.
But when you use a date-string it´s easier. I wrote a small function to convert
a date in the standard SQL string (using the command CDateToIso) and now it´s
working fine.

function function_Date_Convert(date_basis as string)

'// this function converts a date in a usable SQL date

Dateconv=CDateToIso(date_basis)
sYear=left(Dateconv, 4)
sDay=right(Dateconv, 2)
sMonth=mid(Dateconv,5,2)
function_Date_Convert=sYear + - + sMonth + - + sDay

end function

Using this the date format is independent on the language code and it´s easier
to handle. Now it´s possible to use it like this:

sDate=01.01.2006
sDate=function_Date_Convert(sDate)

sSQL=SELECT * FROM `table1` WHERE `Datefield` = # + sDate + '
resultSet=executeQuery(sSQL)
.

So, think it´s solved now

Thank you for your cooperation

Hi,

problem with RC1 of OO 2.1:

there is a problem with a date code in macro programming

example for the SQL-Code:

Select * FROM `table_x` WHERE `date1` ={D '2006-11-29'} AND `date2` = {D '2006-
11-29'} AND

This SQL command is working in my MySQL database (as well in the native SQL
Code and also as an OO query). If I use an executeQuery command in a macro
code, the date code is converted. Now there are slashes / (... `date1` =#2006/
11/29# ) in the command, as a result there occures a runtime error in basic
(syntax error in query).

Also changing the language settings doesn´t change this

Thank you for your help

best regards

Once there is an event on a form component defined (e.g. a button or text
filed) the macro works perfectly, but you are not able to remove the event.
This remove function doesn´t work. Using the remove button in the dialog the
event script is not shown any more, but when you leave this dialog it´s not
removed in the properties dialog of the form component.

hope you´ll find a solution...

thank you

This issue based on Issue 61869 - I don´t know the correct contact person/
programmer):

Using a makro to access and update HSQL databases produces an error. Here is
the
macro code (P.S. please see below the comments of marc):

Sub ResetTMP

Dim DatabaseContext as Object
Dim s as string
Dim oDatenquelle as Object
Dim oHandler as Object
Dim oDatVerb as Object
Dim oStatement as Object
Dim oErgSet as Object
Dim sSQL as String

DatabaseContext = createUnoService(com.sun.star.sdb.DatabaseContext)
oDatenquelle = DatabaseContext.getByName(Adress_db)

If not oDatenquelle.IsPasswordRequired Then
oDatVerb = oDatenquelle.getConnection(,)
else
oHandler = oDatenquelle.createUnoService(com.sun.star.sdb.InteractionHandler)
oDatVerb = oDatenquelle.ConnectWithCompletion(oHandler)
end if

oStatement = oDatVerb.createStatement()
oStatement.ResultSetConcurrency =
com.sun.star.sdbc.ResultSetConcurrency.UPDATABLE
oStatement.ResultSetType = com.sun.star.sdbc.ResultSetType.SCROLL_SENSITIVE

sSQL =SELECT TMP1, TMP2, TMP3 FROM TMP

oErgSet = oStatement.executeQuery(sSQL)

oErgSet.absolute(1)

REM die folgenden 3 Zeilen ändern den Inhalt der 1.-3.
Spalte des Ergebnisses der Abfrage sSQL

oErgSet.updateString(1, text1) 'here you get the error
oErgSet.updateString(2, text2)
oErgSet.updateString(3, text3)
oErgSet.updateRow()

End sub

The error:

Basic runtime error
...exception
Type: com.sun.star.sdbc.SQLException
Message: Function Sequence error.

Using other databases (like MS-Access)the update function with the macro will
run.

Hi,

I can reproduce this, reassign it to the right developer and set target.

producing a view from a query does not run stable.

1. once created a view you can´t rename it
2. deleting a view is possible, but not creating a view with the same name
without closing OpenOffice (or reboot your system)
3. A view can´t be edited (only the basis query, later you have the problems
see
point 1. and 2.)
4. When there is a mistake in a view (can´t specify...) and your database
crashes, then you have no chance to get access to your tables. You get an error
and you can´t do anything then recreate the whole databasevery bad!

I changed the original openoffice HTML template for my homepage.

Using the styles in an n e w document is O.K.

But when the file is saved and opened again, the formats/styles of the original
openoffice template are active and not my modified. In the stylist they are
shown corectly, but the document is not actualized when opened. Also the
formatting of tables in an template is not possible.
