This time I didn't install Jaws PDF Editor and Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.3... I only installed Adobe Reader 7.0.3. Now it works. Maybe when there are other PDF readers registered/installed OOo has problems to open embedded documents? As I know, Jaws PDF Editor is able to be embedded in the browser, too. Then I updated OpenOffice on my first computer to 1.9.125 (Beta2) and tried it again. Same problem still exists?!? (OOo hangs) I've got a second pdf editor installed but this is not the default handler, as you can see because M$ Powerpoint opens Adobe Reader 7 and not the other one. Maybe the handling of opening OLE-Objects with severe (??) configuration causes problems? Any idea to check this? How do you access adobe reader in OOo? via CreateOleObject('class.name') ?? [sw-issues] [Issue 53636] impossible to delete a bi bliography entry
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53636 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 31 13:22:54 -0700 2005 --- After having a look on the xml inside the odt I saw that a bibliography entry is saved each time inserted. I first thought that each entry will be saved once in the document and everywhere a bibliography entry is used in the document there will only be a LINK to the main data of the entry, not saving all data every where X times... So I saw if I want to delete an entry, I have to search for all places where I added the entry with the same ID and delete each... So I now changed to the bibliography database to have a central management of my bibliography entries. When I change one, then it asks me to change all. This works with bibliography entries in DB but not with bibliography entries in the document ONLY. (I hope my description was not too confusing... however if yes, tell me!) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 48661] chapter numbering changed?!

Exporting in OOo b95 to SXW, opening in OOo 1.1.4, adding the new chapter, exporting to .doc then opening it in OOo build 95 the chapter numbering is fixed. BUT: Marking the complete fixed document (by the way of odt(1.9.95)->sxw(1.1.4)- >doc(1.1.4)->odt(1.9.95)) in OOo b95, copying this to a new document in OOo b95 (made of the same template as the original one) the chapter numbering is broken, again. :(( - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. You can reproduce it like this: Create 3 OOo documents or open 3 ones so you have 3 tasks in your windows taskbar and maximize all 3 documents. Open 1 by clicking on it in the taskbar. All okay. Then click on the second. All okay, too. But when you click on the third window while the mouse button is down, the first OOo window is active (mouse down), but then when you leave the mouse button (mouse up), then the 3rd window will be active. I think only the 3rd window should be active? If you play around a little bit with switching between OOo windows in the taskbar you can see this effect more often.
