I just tried to open the file in MS Office 2007, and apparently MS Office can deal with the file just fine with no apparent performance problem. I think having 1 images in a file is probably way beyond what most people would see, so the file itself is obviously problematic; however, since MS Office can open the file fine, I think I will just leave this issue as a low priority enhancement. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=74424 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Feb 16 18:50:59 + 2007 --- It's 680m1(Build:9107) And I'm not sure it's a writer only issue, I've tested that this bug also appears on Writer, Calc, Base, Math, and some sidebars. This bug appears on every place (that I know) in OpenOffice that allows middle click navigation (I've tested that this bug appears on the "Tasks" sidebar of Impress, Styles And Formatting Toolbar on Writer [and possibly other Styles Toolbar too, if they have enough content to allow middle click navigation]) Draw and Impress doesn't allow middle click navigation, and therefore left unaffected (of course), but the sidebars of these are also affected if they allow middle click navigation. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Tested on Windows XP SP2. Not present on OpenOffice 2.1 How to Reproduce: 1. Open a document (Writer or Calc). 2. Make sure that the page size is bigger than the screen size, so it allows middle click navigation. 3. Press middle click mouse button. 4. (optional) Move the mouse. 5. Press middle click mouse button again. 6. Move the mouse and the middle click crosshair persist on the screen Desc: When you do a middle click in a module that allows middle click navigation (Writer, Calc, or sidebars that allows middle click navigation), the crosshair would remain on the screen after you quit middle click navigation. The only way to remove the crosshair is to initiate actions which would redraw the page (moving to other programs and back, moving the page until the crosshair gone, then go back, etc). It is possible to have multiple middle click crosshairs on one screen, although all are just images, and non-functional. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
