I have had the same difficulty with the software not pasting the correct characters when used with Open Office 2.0. (I am currently using OOo v.2.0.3 under Windows 2000 SP4.) The software DOES work correctly when used with Microsoft Word, which I'd like to be able to get away from. I've not tried it with versions of OOo before 2.0, and for other reasons, I'd rather not have to revert to those.
