When downloading and opening the referred pps, OO 3.2.1 gives an error popup:

Move background page assignment.
The loading of password-encrypted Microsoft PowerPoint presentations is not
supported.

This is erroneous, as the file is NOT encrypted, I could open it successfully
with MS powerpoint running in a Virtualbox.

If REPLACE() function is used in a cell with a Length value = 0 like this:
A1=ABC
A2=REPLACE(A1,1,0,XXX_)

Err 502 is displayed in A2, instead of the expected XXX_ABC.
This works fine in excel, but not in OO, so excel sheets are not displayed
correctly.

Yes, I use Ubuntu version.

Just on separators:
- As this is an existing xls file, the separator used there is ,.
- Moreover, if I change the separator to ; like =REPLACE(A1;1;0;XXX_)
then I get Err 508.

But I'll try to use a newer one and replace the Ubuntu one.

What about making the automatic popup feature optional ? (I.e. settable in some
GUI related Options tab)
That way we could be back to the good old 2.4 behaviour.

Debian Linux, icewm:

With OpenOffice 3 a new annoying behaviour appeared:

When editing a document, if the cursor is moved to the beginning of a heading
line, the Bullets and numbering little window pops up, taking away the keyboard
focus from the main doc. window. This is very annoying because one must click to
the main window with the mouse to be able to continue editing.

Writer should prevent this by explicitly setting the keyboard focus to the main
window after popping up the little window.

When transposing a table area (via copy paste special+transpose), I get a lot
of #REF errors in the transposed table. The reason is that the references in the
original table that point outside the area of the table are transposed as well.

This is incorrect, as the cells referred from the original table remain in
place, so the reference in the transposed table should point to those cells.

I try to attach a spreadsheet to demonstrate this.

Debian Linux, icewm (version 1.2.28-3) window manager with 4 desktops.
Start e.g. the spreadsheet on a desktop. Then move it to another desktop via the
window menu, Move to action.

After this, the window is moved to the wanted desktop, but if I click on
anything in the top window part, e.g. the menu bar, the active desktop is
changed back to the one where the spreadsheet was first opened, i.e. the
original desktop of the window.

The only workaround to this is to stick the window to all desktops via the
Occupy all window function.

This happens with the presentation and writer too.

When I export a slide show into pdf using File/Export as PDF, and tick the
checkbox for Notes, then the slides are exported twice: first all the slides
without notes, then all the slides with notes.

In this case only the slides+notes should be exported.

If I create a spreadsheet and do a table split, then the notes for a cell may be
clipped at the border of the split, i.e. the yellow balloon help box is not
displayed as the top layer but under the split part of the table.

It looks like this:

And the ods file to show this is here:

My screen is set to 1024*768 resolution.

I open up the Edit index/table page via right clicking into a TOC.

Problem: some widgets (e.g. the hyperlink button and others right from that)
are not visible in the opened window. As the window is not resizeable or
scrollable, and the width of the left side (preview column) is not changeable
either, there is no way to see and click those buttons.

When opening an ms word document that has chapter numbering visible for all the
chapter levels and in the TOC, only the level 1 chapter numbers (heading 1
entries) are shown in the imported doc. and in the TOC in writer.

To make them show up as they appear in ms word, I have to do Tools/Outline
numbering, then set show sublevels.
