There is a problem in version 3.2.0 also.

I had a document where I had two original ole objects, type embeded spreadsheet
(insert - Ole object - Spreadsheet).
(I call those objects for tables from now)

Then I copied the two tables several times to other location in the same
document. And then I entered other numbers into the copies. I saved the document
while I worked with it. I also saved the document when editing ole object mode
or what it's called.
I saved the document all the time (I gusee a minute or so between each time) to
be sure not to loose any data.

Next time I opened the document, I discovered all tables where gone, exept the
first two that was created from scratch.

I lost approximately 5 hours work. Now I cannot recreate the tables, i can only
see the power cord in their place.

Conclusion: This bug still persist in version 3.2.0 and can cause serious loss
of data as the user don't get noticed at any point that something is wrong.

The following expression will not remove all spaces that is between numbers. If
a single digit occur and there is several spaces before it and after, then only
the spaces before will be replaced. The spaces behind will not be replaced as I
expect.

Purpose:
An array of number in text format is adjusted to right. I need to replace any
spaces between the numbers to tabs.

The expressions is as follows:
Search: ([0-9]) +([-|0-9])
Replace: $1\t$2

A sample document is attached. It describe the problem in more detail.

Tanks

OS: Windows XP sp2 norwegian
OpenOffice.org English

First row (from A2) contains year, 2002 to 2030. First coloumn contains name of
elements (see picture in link below).
Picture URL: http://tinypic.com/r/544tf/5;

The problem is that x-axis in graph refuse to show real years, but instead make
them integers from 45 to 80.

The bar type is XY scatter, but change to another type graph doesn't make
numbers being years.

I inserted a new OLE objec to my document. I then selected the target
spreadsheet file. Spreadsheet file is located on same disk but in another
folder. Just after inserting the spreadsheet file (not as link), the contents of
it appears correctly.
However, after saving the document and then reopen it - the spreadsheet content
is replaced with an iconic symbol having red text reading Object 2.
I expected to see the content of spreadsheet, so no doubt this must be a bug.

There is nothing weird about the documents filename or path. They reads as
following:
document:
O:\Vern\inleveringer\03\Answer\A.odt
Spreadsheet file:
O:\Vern\inleveringer\03\utregningmanuell.ods

However, if I chose Link to file when insert the spreadsheet, it seems to
work ok.

I also tried to put both the document and the spreadsheet in same folder. It
doesn't helped, same problem.

OS = Windows XP sp2 norwegian version.
Open Office version = 3.2.0
OOO320m12 (build:9483)
Java version = 6U18 (build 1.6.0_18-b07)

[sw-issues] [Issue 109986] Export formulas or OLE ob jects to PNG or other graphic formats

Hi.

The workaround described here has two major drawbacks:

1: No alpha channel. Whitespace will also cover other objects if I use this
image in other applications.

2: Even if I select the formula object when I export it in Draw, it doesn't
scale the drawing. That is, the whole canvas is exported, not only the formula
object.

If Draw should be the solution, it should be able to export the same way as
Inkscape. Draw a couple of figures in Inkscape and export it, and that's a
feature I wish into Open Office, especially with Math objects.

I sometimes have use for putting formulas into other programs (such as
inkscape). Using external program to save a piece of the screen does work.
However I cannot get transparent background (alpha channel) to the saved png
pictures.

I would have god use of being able to export the formulas to PNG, just like
other apps like Geogebra and Inkscape :)

The print feature of Math cannot be used, because a printed copy contains a lot
of white space around the formula. And printer emulators that can produce png
often doesn't make transparent png's anyway.

Thanks

The list is empty.

I have deselect the setting When closing a document, save the list for later
use in other documents.
This setting seem to have no effect. I have tried it on for a while adn also
off for a while. In both cases, writer doesn't collect words.

I have a norwegian version of Windows XP servicepack 3.
I use the english version of Open Offiice.

Just after a clean Open Office installation, the Word Completion feature seems
to work fine. But after a while (some days) the Word Completion does not collect
words any more.
I've checked the settings, and the Word Completion seems to be turned on, but
doesn't collect words.

This applies both to newly created documents and existing documents. From the
forum, there wasn't anybody else that told they had same problem so I wonder if
the issue can be related to the language version of OS versus language version
of Open Office.

The URL provided links to a tread in the Open Office forum, describing what I
have done.
