[sw-issues] [Issue 101852] Bullet indenting gets mes sed up in export to Word 97/2000/XP
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=101852 Issue #|101852 Summary|Bullet indenting gets messed up in export to Word 97/2 |000/XP Component|Word processor Version|OOO310m11 Platform|Other URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|save-export Assigned to|writerneedsconfirm Reported by|wcattey --- Additional comments from wcat...@openoffice.org Tue May 12 23:02:21 + 2009 --- Attached are two documents, the original OOo 3.1 odt file, and the output after saving as a Word 97/2000/XP file. Scroll to the bottom of page 2 and see how the indentation of the bullet text has changed. This is because the bullet formatting is giving conflicting instructions, and the .odt formatting is going one way and the .doc formatting is going another. The bullet formatting says, Indent on a tab stop, and indent 0.50 inches. The display from odt read-in goes a tab stop which happens to be 0.25 inches. The display from .doc read-in after export goes 0.50 inches. If the bullet formatting is (From the Format-Bullets and Numbering menu command under the Position tab to be Numbering followed by Tab Stop at 0.00 the formatting remains consistent in both odt and .doc format. Perhaps this is really a bug in the display Bullets and Numbering position attributes rather than the .doc export as such. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sc-issues] [Issue 70052] Particular OOo 1 spreadshe ets crash Calc on Save
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=70052 Issue #|70052 Summary|Particular OOo 1 spreadsheets crash Calc on Save Component|Spreadsheet Version|OOo 2.0.3 Platform|PC URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P1 Subcomponent|save-export Assigned to|spreadsheet Reported by|wcattey --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Oct 2 12:47:58 -0700 2006 --- I have been managing my stock portfolio with OOo for years. Recently I migrated to 2.0. The file works just fine in 1.1, but crashes OOo 2.0. I've done a lot of fault isolation for you: Attached is a file with a SINGLE cell filled in that will crassh OOo on either a Mac or Linux. (For example 2.0.3 under Linux.) I got this file by taking my original portfolio file, and pruning away stuff in OOo 1.1 until I was down to a single cell and whatever other metadata has been kept in the file from OOo 1.1. Repeat by: 1. Open the attached file Portfolio-Boom.sxc in OOo 2.0 2. Attempt a SaveAS in ods format. 3. Watch the core dump! Other things I can tell you: Opening the original file and attempting to delete a sheet will coredump OOo 2.0. Creating a copy of the joriginal file by using the Move/Copy command under Edit-Sheet to create a sheet-by-sheet copy will give you a file that works just fine. So there's perhaps something in the metadata about sheets that's killing OOo 2.0? Please let me know how I can help find and fix this bug quickly. We don't want loyal OOo users converting to 2.0 and having their financial records go BOOM when they try to write them out! This looks like a SERIOUS problem. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. We are running under Red Hat Enterprise 4. It may be a subtle issue in how the fonting has been done in RHEL. Is there someone there who might verify that this bug works for them under RHEL 4? (Inasmuch as RHEL has 80% of the enterprise Linux market, if it's broken there, it really needs to be fixed.)
