Hi Marc,
no, it's only one - the last one at the time of installation. I see now that
this can be changed using tools/table filter. Maybe selecting all tables
automatically when creating the data source during installation would be a
better (i. e., less confusing to the vs2 newbie) solution.
Bye Wolfgang

On installing 2.0 rc2 parallel to 1.1.x, the installer offered to take over the
old personal settings. In doing that, I find that a new database source was
created automatically from the Mozilla address book. Opening the resulting
Mozilla Adressen.odb file shows that of all tables only one was taken over,
the others do not appear. As I said, I get all tables if I create the data
source manually by linking to the address book and explicitly select all tables.
So what seems to happen is that this automatic creation of the data source on
installing only selects one - the last - table rather than offering a choice or
selecting all tables. Hope that clarifies matters.

Open Office Writer 2.0 rc2, Windows XP professional SP2. I use Mozilla 1.7
address book as a data source for mail merges. My Mozilla data base has two
tables (general addresses, Kundenkartei). Data source administration sees only
one - the last - of these, so I cannot use the other for mail merge. OO1.1.2 -
detects both tables without problems, so I guess there must be a bug.

OpenOffice 2.0 rc2, PC on Windows XP professional SP 2. Export as pdf. Exported
a rather complex handbook with many hyperlinks and headers (3 levels) as a test
case. While hyperlinks work well now, bookmarks are incomplete. The first few
(ca. 7) headers were converted into bookmarks but without numbering, the rest
was missing. It would be very useful if headers were used by the export function
to create pdf bookmarks using both numbering and levels, maybe even allowing
users to choose how deep they want them.

Sorry regina, but my point is that neither change tables nor view does work
as you say - I am only offered the last of several tables as a choice and the
others are simply not accessible.
The problem does not occur if instead of accessing Mozilla address book
directly, I create an OpenOffice data base by connecting to it. Using the
latter, I can indeed make all tables accessible and change tables. But only
then. Surely that is not as intended?

OpenOffice 2.0 rc2. PC Windows XP SP2. The old mail merge wizard offered a
listing of the address table used, so you could select single recipients for
e.g. a letter. The new one seems merely to allow excluding single recipients
provided you know the number of their record. Imagine a table of 146 business
partners to one of whom you want to correspond. As it is now, you write your
letter, create 146 documents and then select the one you need? Please can we
have the listing to choose from back as it is implemented in OpenOffice 1.1.x!

If I create a drawing in OpenOffice draw, there seems to be no way of importing
the picture from that file into an OpenOffice text document. There are lots of
formats on offer for importing files, but not OpenOffice's own.
Of course, I can still open the drawing in draw and transfer its contents via
Copy/Insert into the text file. Is that how I am supposed to do it?
