Open Office installed locally on XP (SP3), Win 7 (x86 & x64) also installed
locally on Win Server 2k8 /2k8R2 Terminal servers.

Normal users have application data re-directed using a Group Polixy, and are
using roaming profiles.

Users get the following error when opening any Open Office application:
Configuration data
in ‘file://xxxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx.xx/xxxxxxxxxxxx/xxxx/xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxx
xx/usernm/Application%
20Data/OpenOffice.org/3/user/uno_packages/cache/registry/com.sun.star.comp.depl
oyment.configuration.PackageRegistryBackend/registry/
data/org/openoffice/Office/OOoImprovement/Settings.xcu` is corrupted. Without
this data some functions may not operate correctly. Do you want to continue
startup of OpenOffice.org without the corrupted configuration data?

[I have replaced identifying data with x's above - one x per previous
character]
This error is displayed many times. Irrespective of the selections made the
application does not open.

If the openoffice.org folder is deleted then the error is still displayed when
the application is launched (it appears that the file is created successfully).

I suspect that this issue may be due to path length? Can this be confirmed? If
so is there a fix?

Many thanks.
