This no Debian package is allowed to rely on anything inside HOME. As we see in openoffice.org-voikkos build against 3.0.1 rc2 (http://experimental.debian.net/fetch.php?pkg=openoffice.org-voikkover=3.0.1-1arch=armelstamp=1232434497file=logas=raw) with the current SDK this fails horribly since the SDk can't create the dir, doesn't create the symlinks and thus doesn't dinf libuno_sal.so for linking. Is a link (e.g.) sdkdir/lib/libuno_sal.so ../ure-link/lib/libuno_sal.so.3 okß But when we need to make the setsdkenv script propagate this. Or we add the links to the URE dir directly (as we already get a -L/usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.0/ure-link/lib jsc, can you do it or tell me how to do it best to not break one platform? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=97041 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Dec 9 08:56:54 + 2008 --- err, norry, by last comment got corrupted. The OO.org 3.0 SDK creates the links correct and this 3.0 SDK creates a folder ~/openoffice.org3.0_sdk/hostname/ where the configured setsdkenv* scripts are stored. Just that the distributons have to distribute pre-configured stuff like that. Think of packages building extensions (voikko) which must be bbuilt automatically. This apperantly is not true in all cases. Incidentially, a voikko 3.0 build creates its build dir *AND* that toplevel dir. The links are necessary for building extensions, client apps only. They are created in the output directory that can be configured by the user. As said before, in 2.4.1 we had the s.o symlinks installed, too. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. When you have the SDK installed, you can't create stuff in /opt as non-root (and you should be able to build apps without needing root, that would even be more broken than now).
