with MySQL 5.0 and MyODBC 3.51.11 this bug exists also

If you use JDBC then it works :(

the versions which are named above are in Debian/Stable (Etch)

I close this bug and fill a new one when I can give a more specific description

For Debian User:

There is a problem to install the version 3.51.12 from mysql.com.

You can't convert the rpm with alien and install the deb
There are missing dependencies.

You need libstdc++6 =4.2.x which is only in debian experimental.

This is an driver issue. With the mysql odbc driver 3.51.11 this issue occurr.
With the driver 3.51.12 this issue doesn't occurr.

I close this issue as INVALID
