Renaming the file, from .1.odb to _1.odb, as atjensen suggested, solved
the issue.

Now this .odb work on all my environments.

Thanks a lot for the tip !

For information, I am attaching the new doc, that is still under construction,
although a bit closer to completion.

Happy with the name change workaround, although this still looks like a real
issue.

Hello atjensen,

This form is still under construction, so please do not pay attention to issues
regarding record insertions.

But, to answer your questions :
 - I only have 1 OOo per O/S (Win XP Pro, XP Family, Ubuntu Karmic)
 - And it is only with OOo 3.2 and Karmic that nothing is ever displayed in the
listboxes.
 - I have already renamed the doc, replacing the .1 by _1, but I shall not
be able to test it in OOo 3.2 + Karmic before a few days.
 - And just for you, Loki fan, this author of the RPG for which this doc is
being developed (Mazes Minotaurs), is working on another game, called Vikings
 Valkyries... ;)

Checked w/ Ubuntu Studio 10.04 (beta 2 w/ all current checkins as of today) and
the OO.o 3.2 from this repository.

I can reproduce the problem, before confirming however a quick question.

@pbrient, Do you have multiple copies of OO.o installed? If so, could you check
to ensure that the different copies of OO.o do not use a common OO.o USER
directory.

Now for the problem, it's the file name: Seems the .1.odb is not being accepted.
To verify this try renaming your file, removing this and then register the new
filename - after that everything works as expected here.

Let us know if that does it and I'll change the summary to reflect the naming
problem and confirm the issue.

Alright - using Vista, OOO320m_15 (the full install build)

1 - I can register the database with the name, as is. (so it seems this is may
be a Linux or go-oo issue, I'll follow up on that)

2 - There is a problem with the list box controls on the form, but only when
inserting a new record. (I changed the read_only setting on the table grid
control and used the form to enter a second record for Loki - getting in
touch
w/ my roots I suppose) Changing values for existing records works without an
error - if you just clear the custom error boxes when entering a new record the
data is written correctly to the tables.

Ok - the reason for the error when changing a drop down for a new record is
found in your basic procedures - simply put the procedures called from your
event handler are not checking for NULL values, there error is not from the
control your working with but from the code that looks for values in the other
controls not yet set to a value.

Steps to reproduce :
 - Add the folder containing the .odb doc as a Trusted Source in Macro Security.
 - Create a Data Source named MnMCreatureBuilder, pointing to the attached
.odb doc.
 - Open this .odb doc
 - Open the CreatureBuilder form
 - Change the value of any List Box control
 - A message box then appears, if the SQL SELECT is unsuccessfull

From what source you installed OOo 3.2 on Ubuntu, from ubuntu/ppa/OOo site?
