It's also a matter of the form getting larger everytime. Sometimes when the form opens it has become so big that it doesn't fit on the screen anymore. In edit mode the ruler help creating form, and it seems to me, this behavior is expected by most of the users. Changing this behavior, not a bug more an enhancement. And I keep having to hide it, because: - I don't need it - It takes up to much space (I have big, table style forms) Also: often the window size gets bigger when I open a form for editing, and I'm expecting this is related to the ruler being loaded when it was hidden before.
