this issue is resolved as reporter stated; his initial problem, that toolbars
sometimes behave strangely, can be continued to solve by solving issue 58633;
verhoeff, if your problems continue, could you file a new issue giving a step-
by-step description and also attaching a sample file? thanks, Lars

I have looking at it again, using an existing mysql database with several
tables.
When opening first time, all goes well. I can make a new report, or form. When I
make a new form and save it and come back in base, i only can access existing
forms report query but are unable to make new. Then i save database, close base,
reopen i still can't make new forms, report, etc. Only open existing forms, etc,
but not edit them. Only when i remove OOo completely from memory, i regain
fullaccess to the database.

I am using windows XP. OO.o 2.0.

Hop e this helps solving/reproducing

I think I may have rectified this issue after repairing the program from the
add/remove programs in XP have tried to reproduce the issue without success
leading me to believe that some files were not initially installed properly on
the first attempt, however I had to repair the program twice.

I have same kind of malfunction in ooo 2.0.
When looking further i found that the .lck file wasn't deleted by closing
database. When closed complete application including quickstarter and deleting
.lck file, i could access database normally.

However trying to duplicate this, the.lck file got deleted but i gained no
access to the database. i got this error:

The connection to the data source test could not be established.
SQL Status: S1000
Error code: -78

error in script file line: 3 File input/output errorerror java.io.IOException
opening file - file C:\Documents and Settings\Paul\Mijn
documenten\openoffice\db\test.data in statement [CREATE CACHED TABLE Bedrijf]

After calling this error twice, i suddenly could open database ?

Also when closing QUickstarter en restart base i can open database and use all
functions
I use Hsqldb, But have had same problem with mysqldatabase

Hi,

I can't reproduce this.
Can you please write a step-by-step description what you are doing.

Please also read the reporting rules at
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html#reproducibility

Bye Marc
