clu-jojoax: it works like designed, so it is a wanted behavior and no bug - if
you do not like it, please write a feature enhancement that describes what you
would like to have instead

thx

if it works with execute direct option checked, what the heck ist the
differnce ?
The Query was created withhin a SQL Window. So further parsing is nonsens and
a SQL direct Option is definitely nonsens. The existence of this option make
the whole thing SQL Window intransparent and not practical usable.

IMHO a critcal Bug.

You might want to use the Execute Statement directly button in the SQL view's
toolbar.

Please don't miss the other point here. This person appears to have not known
there was a mode of 'Run SQL Direct'.

IMO it is not enough to say...well, read the manual, in this kind of situation.
The query designer could have offered to do it ( switch modes ) for the user,
when the parser could not understand the command.

fs-atjensen: good idea! According to atjensen, do you mind submitting an RFE?
