When a field has been added to a report and the contents are larger then would
fit into the field, the red arrow shows up. I would suggest that the properties
for a text field allow it to be expanded (vertically definitely, horizontally
maybe) to allow the entire contents to be displayed.

The Report Designer iTeam decided that this is no show stopper for the first
release, and no "should be fixed if possible at all". targeting to "not
determined" for the moment.

0. open a new database
1. create a table with a 'char' field and fill it with any short content
2. open the report designer and bind it to the table
3. open the add field container and d&d the char field into the doc
4. push the 'execute report' button

-> field appear with a red triangle

p.s. even if the full content is shown, the red triangle should show that the
whole content does not fit - the length of the control content is not taken
properly - the red triangle confuses the user
