Hi,

this is not a defect and not an enhancement request. The signed in the title bar
isn't shown if the signature itseld is unbroken but the certificate used for
signing could not be validated, e.g. the root certificate of the issuer is not
on your computer. About the validation of certificates, you can always install
the public parts of the certificate on every computer you want and therefore
every cert can be validated.

So closing this as invalid as it works as designed.

Frank

I'm not sure if you will stand me correct..After I signed a document then email
to everybody..The status 'Signed' is no longer shown on the titlebar of Ooo
even though you can still see the digital signature but marked as 'Certificate
can not be validated' since the certificate is not installed on that
computer..For me, this is correct coz only signatories can be validated his/her
own digital certificate. But I believe the status 'Signed' should stay on the
titlebar so the user who viewed the document will be informed that this
particular document was signed already.
