OOo4Kids aims at making a reduced, simplistic UI for OOo

closing issue. This issue is way to vague anyway.

Recently there was an entry on heise.de* about office software being much too
complicated for normal users because there are tons of features people never
need. Someone there said that users were able to access lots of things (facebook
etc) without problem but for Office progs they need hours of introduction
because they are too complicated.

Now there is the Renaissance project running, and as far as I've understood, 3.1
will collect (after approval) data about how often commands are executed. What
about picking out the most frequent one and only showing them in an «Easy Mode»?
Minimalized to only the really necessary parts.

Certainly switching between this modes has to be possible, as, if users use it,
might sometimes also need to access a command just not shown.

I could imagine that there are lots of users who would like that.

* I cannot find the article anymore, although it isn't older than 1 or 2 weeks,
sorry :(
