An Office that vanishes or freezes is some defect that can be seen. A wrong printout can be seen as well. But a crash is always a code problem. Component/Supcomponent "UI" is only the UI of the Office: Strings in menues and dialoges, icons and the like. This is not a P1 issue, because OLE does work in general. I can not reproduce this on my SUSE Linux 9.3 in Build 680m145.8988. Set to "worksforme". SBA->qeldroma: Please give further information about your Linux collection.
