To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=69923 Issue #|69923 Summary|inconsistent behaviour in PDF-export, impractical solu |tion Component|framework Version|OOo 2.0.4 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|code Assigned to|tm Reported by|norbert2 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 27 11:06:52 -0700 2006 --- I found the following bug on 2.0.4 RC2 under WindowsXP: - open any OOo-document - open the PDF-export and witch to the Security-Tab - check Encrypt the PDF docment - press the button Set open password... - cancel or confirm the empty Set Open Password-window: Note that Encrypt the PDF docment is still checked. - now check Restrict permissions - press the button Set permission password... - cancel or confirm the empty Set Permission Password-window: Note that Restrict permissions is unchecked now. Both check-boxes/buttons should behave identical. Either they should uncheck after closing/confirming empty window or they should persist checked. But I think current solution is impractical and should be changed: A better solution would be to just use edit-fields directly in the PDF-export window for passwords and if there is a string, the PDF should be encrypted, if empty no encryption should be performed. Right beside the edit-fields there could be the (empty)-indication to avoid unwanted enryptions. I think you should consider this soultion to put the edit-fields directly into the PDF window. If you don't want to use that concept that I suggest at least the inconsistency I have mentioned above should be fixed. Thanks. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
