Since this input name is also used for the hash key in the font cache, I'm not sure if that is a good idea. Looking at the patch I think even with it the wrong fontname is written to files and displayed in the fontcombobox. AFAIK the ImplChangeByFontSubstitute should be used in the GetDefaultFont() implementation?
