It must be noted that it is necessary to configure the sunray server and install the software (middle ware ) which comes with the smard card. MT already said this. Using USB card readers requires additional software not only the mentioned libcmP11 library. The used smart card was from Siemens using Siemens cardos. This card is not used because it is not capable of generating a DES3 symmetric key. This key is probably be used when using the encryption service. However, this service is not published and also it is not used in OOo. Therefore, I will remove the check, if the card can generate this key. If encryption is later be used then one needs to check in a different place if the smart card is suitable. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Work fine. You can see it in the "Digital Signatures" panel. Configure a new security device with the library libcmP11.so in Firefox and check if that work. Firefox can read the certificate in the smartcard chip. Works with Thunderbird, too. But OOo cannot read this "hardware" certificate. The "Digital Signatures" panel is still blank. But the LED on the SunRay is blinking 3-5 seconds when opening this panel. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
