When I open a .dot document with open office 3. it gives me the following error
"open office document recovery , it gives me succesfully recovery and it open a
blank document
Ive windows xp 64 bit server pack 2
What must I do???

OpenOffice crashes in this specific situation on windows xp 64 bit (it works on
my normal xp installation)

Opening a file via double-click --> open office starts and crashes. There is no
difference in having quickstart started or not.
It also crashes if you start the OpenOffice start-screen and open a document

It don't crashes if you first create an empty document through the start-screen
or via the quickstart-icon, or the direct links to the specific modules (you
don't see the window, but you have a rise in memory-use - so the document is
loaded the whole time until restart or manual remove of the process)

what i also noticed:
if you open an opendocument-file - you can see the window, by opening a .doc -
file you can also see the progressbar of the import
